Heist was undoubtedly lucky to win on his chasing debut at Sedgefield (leader came down at the final fence and the runner-up was badly hampered), but he is entitled to have learnt plenty from that experience and can show up well again. Ballycool is capable on his day and ran a decent race over this C&D on his latest outing in May, but KITCHAPOLY gets the nod. He hasn't been beaten far on his last couple of starts and top jockey Sam Twiston-Davies can help him claim an overdue win.

TEOCHEW is very well treated at these weights with a top rating of 110, receiving 7lb and upwards off her rivals, and she is fancied to land the spoils. What A Steel has been disappointing in two starts since winning a selling hurdle over the extended 2m7f here in June, but a first-time visor might help him bounce back to form. Sean Airgead and Danceintothelight are others to note, the latter's task made slightly easier with Finian O'Toole taking 10lb off his back.

Sacred Square is the top-rated performer in this line-up and certainly deserves a win following a number of nearly efforts, but a chance is taken on NUTS WELL. He shaped with plenty of promise in three bumper starts earlier this year, including one here, and there is no reason why he shouldn't take to the hurdling game. The soft hands of Brian Hughes will certainly breed confidence into the four-year-old. NH debutant Inchcolm could be worth a second look in the betting market after showing ability between the flags.

Skylander ran out a game winner over hurdles at Newton Abbot and he warrants plenty of respect now making the switch to fences, but in receipt of 19lb, BROTHER SCOTT could have his measure. Representing last year's winning stable, this gelded son of Kirkwall showed a great attitude when winning over C&D last time and, despite running from out of the handicap, he looks sure to give another good account. Drop A Gear steadily improved over hurdles but chasing is likely to be his game and he merits consideration.

SERENITY NOW has posted two more wins on the Flat since his three-length C&D victory in June and a 6lb rise might not be enough to stop this in-form seven-year-old hitting the target again. Celtic Monarch ran away with a selling hurdle over 2m here in June and has since posted a couple of bronze medal finishes. He is likely to be in the shake-up again while Miss Macnamara has been running consistently well over timber this year and she shouldn't be underestimated off bottom-weight.

Dystonia's Revenge is a fairly in-and-out performer but more than capable on his day while, similarly, Manger Hanagment has every chance if putting his best foot forward. Preference, however, is for the slightly more consistent MIA'S ANTHEM. Noel Kelly's charge posted a solid effort over hurdles at this track latest and his previous four efforts in this sphere were all promising. He won by 16 lengths at Cartmel just three starts ago and will prove near very tough to beat if arriving in that sort of mood.

It could pay to side with NATIVE OPTIMIST in a tricky finale. He posted solid win and placed efforts over this C&D in the not too distant past and was a creditable fourth off this mark at Cartmel last time. He looks set to run his usual solid race and that might be enough to beat off Another Bygones and Alba King. The latter wasn't disgraced over fences here two weeks ago and is 2lb lower on his hurdling return, while Karen McLintock's gelding drops in class with a top jockey booked to ride.
