Citrus Mark pulled up on his reappearance but cannot be written off yet given his previous form, although the safer option appears to be DOYENNE DREAM. He returned to form with a good second off a 1lb lower mark over 2m5f at Uttoxeter last month and the third has boosted the form by winning since. Tecktal escapes a penalty for last week's conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle success and is another to consider.
Barney Curley's Sommersturm is likely to pop up at some stage off his lowly mark and it's worth taking a chance that this is the day. The unpenalised Tecktal and Doyenne Dream are others to consider.

Having shown ability over timber last season, Overnight Fame is interesting on her chasing bow but not as interesting as Alan King's RIVERMOUTH, who was last seen landing a 2m7f handicap hurdle at Hereford with plenty to spare in April. King has his string in fine form and a bold bid will be expected of his charge on his first outing over fences. Rossbrin is entitled to have learnt a lot from his chasing debut third last month and warrants the utmost respect.
Rossbrin made an encouraging start over fences when third at Chepstow last month and he can get the better of chasing debutants Overnight Fame and Rivermouth.

Alan King has strong claims again here with DINEUR, whose maiden hurdle success in May has been boosted by the fifth subsequently winning four times. He has been handed a feasible mark for his handicap introduction and the lack of a recent run isn't a concern given the yard's form. Royal Diamond was in front, but about to be passed, when falling at the last on his hurdling bow at Huntingdon over 2m5f last month and, providing that hasn't dented his confidence, Jonjo O'Neill's inmate will be a big threat over this shorter trip. Cry Of Freedom rates best of the remainder.
Royal Diamond and Dineur look best of those with hurdles experience but a chance is taken with hurdling newcomer Quanah Parker, who has every chance if able to translate his Flat form to the jumping game.

This looks like a match between Megastar and AUSTRALIA DAY. The former was a smart novice hurdler but always looked like a chaser in the making and he is entitled to have learnt a great deal from his first start over fences 10 days ago, when he was beaten just over 12 lengths. Preference, however, is for Paul Webber's charge, who built on his opener over larger obstacles with a facile Kempton success (2m) last month - form which has been boosted by the runner-up's subsequent win. Hi Tide can pick up the bronze medal.

King Ozzy will appreciate the return to hurdles and a 4lb rise looks fair for Tayarat following his C&D success last month, while Market Rasen winner Call It On wasn't beaten far off his revised mark last time. They may be playing for places, however, behind RIGHT STUFF, who is allowed to race off the same mark as when landing a 2m conditional jockeys' contest at Kempton last week.
Right Stuff jumped much better at Kempton last time, and an error-free round here will make him very difficult to beat. King Ozzy is respected back over hurdles, while a market move for the long-absent Spectait would be of interest.

With no racecourse form to go on, the betting market may provide the best guide to the finale. As a rare NH runner for Kevin Ryan, George Fernbeck warrants the utmost respect, while This Is Me cost 30,000 euros and the booking of AP McCoy catches the eye. Icanseeclearlynow and Military Man are also of interest but the tentative vote goes to LIFE OF LAUGHTER, a 25,000-guinea purchase who represents last year's winning stable.
Don Cantillon is the man to follow in bumpers here, and he holds a strong hand with both This Is Me and Military Man making plenty of appeal on paper. The booking of McCoy for the former just swings it, while George Fernbeck is also worthy of respect.
