Marino Prince sauntered to a 20-length victory in a seller at Catterick when last sighted but will need to raise his game to follow up under a 7lb penalty now returning to the handicap ranks. Preference is for BLACK CACHE, who scored over 2m1f in a conditional jockeys' event on good ground at Exeter earlier in the month and is allowed to race off an unchanged mark today. Dianne Sayer's Endeavor is also respected, but drops back in trip after his narrow 2m3f victory at Market Rasen latest.

KINGS BAYONET was no match for the smart Darlan on his hurdles debut at Taunton in January but bounced back from a disappointing C&D effort when third at Plumpton last time and is expected to improve for the better ground today. Featherintheattic jumped slowly on his first run over hurdles at Bangor in December but could improve with that experience under his belt now returned to a quicker surface. Kept fit on the Flat over the winter, hurdles debutant Hurricane Hymnbook is another to consider.

Sycho Fred is respected now turned out under a penalty for his Market Rasen victory on Sunday but a chance is instead taken on ILEWIN TOM, who returns from a 340-day break but is open to further improvement around 3m and remains on a fair mark, 6lb higher than his 3-length victory at Chepstow when last sighted in April. Sawago was staying on one-paced over 2m at Folkestone in January and is also interesting now granted this stiffer test.

It could pay to side with HIMRAYN in what looks a tricky puzzle for punters to solve. There was plenty to like about his fourth behind subsequent winner Royal Entourage at Southwell two weeks ago and is entitled to strip fitter for that first start since late November. Whistling Senator would have every chance if recapturing the form of his third at Southwell last month, while Champion Versions is of interest stepped up in trip for his handicap debut.

Rory Boy comfortably beat the useful Tornado Bob on his latest NH start in a ''jumpers' bumper'' at Southwell last month and makes plenty of appeal back over hurdles today, but marginal preference is for MR ONE TOO. He produced his best effort yet when third over 3m at Towcester latest and this extra quarter of a mile is likely to see him improve further. Always Bold and Carmela Maria make up the shortlist.

CHESTNUT BEN could prove difficult to beat. Jumping has got to be a concern having failed to complete on two of his last three appearances, but he won well under McCoy at Hereford on his penultimate outing and is effectively just 2lb higher today with Steven Clements' claim taken into consideration. Riddleofthesands and Le Reveur look to be the biggest dangers to Gary Brown's charge, despite that pair also having problems in the jumping department of late.

Billy Twyford was bought for 30,000 pounds into the Nicky Henderson stable after winning a point-to-point contest at Maralin in November and warrants plenty of respect first time under Rules, but COFFEE edges the vote. This five-year-old son of Beneficial made a promising start to his racing career when runner-up at Folkestone last month and ought to go very close if stepping forward from that. Charlie Longsdon is certainly capable of getting one ready first time and has an interesting newcomer in the shape of Pendra.
