TUANKU has made a decent start to his hurdles career and this looks a good opportunity for him to return to winning ways following his second in a decent looking Novices' hurdle at Chepstow earlier this month. Starluck is an interesting recruit from Ireland who stayed well enough on the flat. Metal Madness disappointed on his latest flat outing but had previously been performing with credit over a mile and he should be considered on his hurdling debut.

Rock Me scored at the third time of asking over hurdles, beating Joshua (runs in the 1.20) by 5 lengths over 2m at Ludlow, and he must be respected along with Green Wadi, who was well supported for his hurdling debut but was beaten almost 6 lengths behind Tuanku at Plumpton. The first race could give a clue as to which of those pieces of form is more solid but nevertheless the vote goes to hurdling debutant TERRASINI. His Flat form was nothing special but Howard Johnson has scored with similar types in these events already this season and his charge could be capable of much better in this sphere.

Abutilon would have been a lot closer than an 11-length third last time out had he not made a few mistakes. He is likely to be sharper this time and could go close. Et Maintenant is none too consistent but on his best form he has possibilities. Nicky Henderson has his team in good form and BONCHESTER BRIDGE can provide him with another winner. This would appear to be his best trip and he has gone well when fresh in the past.

LEVERA sets a decent standard on his second to Woolcombe Folly at Kempton last time. He has a bright future over obstacles and should be able to return to winning ways without too much difficulty in this contest. Outlandish has won two bumpers and a Flat race and although he was very disappointing on his only previous run over hurdles, he might be capable of better. Overrule and Wester Ross both showed enough ability on the Flat to suggest that winning in this sphere should be within their capabilities but they should not give Levera too much to think about.

King Barry made a satisfactory return to action at Kelso earlier this month and will no doubt strip fitter this time, so he must be on the short-list. Can't Buy Time got off the mark over fences at Southwell last time and a 9lb higher mark should not prevent another bold bid, but PORTERS WAR showed promise in bumpers and over hurdles last season and has the potential to make quite a useful chaser. He gets the tentative vote in what looks an open little contest.

Another open affair in which a few can be given a chance. Nostringsattached will be a popular choice after a few months off, especially as he has gone well fresh in the past. Cresswell Ruby carries a 7lb penalty for her Exeter success last week but those exertions might have taken their toll. Key Time would be a big danger if returning at the top of his game but he has something to prove now. It could be best to side with one of the Irish raiders. The Buck tries this trip for the first time and should be monitored in the market, but FAKIMA won over C&D last year and looks the safest option.

Roznic looked on good terms with himself when hacking up at Southwell last week and despite a 7lb penalty he looks sure to go close, but ANOTHER AMBITION could be the fly in the ointment. Tony Martin's charge has shown improved form in handicaps this year and could prove to be well treated off a lowly mark of 92. Bafana Boy was useful over hurdles before going chasing but disappointed when attempting to take advantage of his lower hurdles rating on his last two outings. He rates a danger nevertheless.
