EASTERN GIFT has good C&D form in the book and he looks dangerous switching back to the all-weather surface in what looks a wide open apprentice handicap. A close second in February was followed up with back-to-back successes at Lingfield and Kempton and a return to that form would see him go very close. Catchanova is an obvious danger to the selection and remains well treated off a mark of 62. Sasheen looks the best of the rest and has been a model of consistency in recent months for Jeremy Gask.

The form of Finalist's debut effort at Sandown was franked at Lingfield recently and if she has improved for that run, Philip Robinson's mount could lose her maiden tag. Main Focus represents the in-form John Gosden yard but has failed to impress on his two starts to date. Well bred colt FREDDY Q is an interesting newcomer for Richard Hannon and if the son of Iffraaj is the subject of market support, he will be one to keep onside. First Rebellion could run into a place at a price.

Forgiving Celtic Sixpence her seasonal reappearance effort would give her a great each-way chance at a nice price having put in a solid effort on the polytrack last term at Wolverhampton. MOSAICIST, however, ran well at Yarmouth in May to break her duck and if that form is reproduced she will be hard to beat here. William Buick is an interesting booking aboard Speightowns Kid but Matthew Salaman's three-year-old must defy a 6lb penalty for scoring last week here over the minimum distance.

RUBY BROOK impressed at Lingfield on debut over a mile when quickening up to lead close home and gets the tentative vote in what looks a competitive heat. The step up in trip here is ideal and the son of Sakhee is entitled to have learnt an awful lot for the experience. Baltic Light stayed on strongly when scoring here in May and has serious claims of completing the double. Antarctic shouldn't be overlooked while Samarkand could get involved on his return to the all-weather scene.

Belle Boleyn is improving with every run this term and was a close third at Leicester last time where she appeared to need every yard of the trip. However, stepping back in trip here is a concern and preference is for PRINCE BLUE, who seems to have found his feet this term. He has gone up again in the weights but is showing enough to suggest he is ready to win his race. The most interesting of the remainder is Lunar Promise, who returns to the Flat scene after almost three years away.

ELLIE IN THE PINK remains well treated off a mark of 64 here after going down just a neck at Warwick in May over this distance. Harry Bentley takes off a valuable 5lb which gives the three-year-old filly a fine chance of returning to winning ways. Chokurei must defy top weight and reverse form with Caelis, who was two and three-quarter lengths better off at Newbury in late May. Tinaheely could run into a place at a nice price and while the Richard Hannon representative Looksmart has failed to fulfil her early promise, she can't be overlooked in this one.

PERFECT CHI has been unlucky of late having ran into some useful sorts, most notably Saddlers Bend who recently contested the Group 3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom. The form of his recent runs are solid and it wouldn't be surprising to see her in the winner's enclosure here. Mashatu has run consistently this term and penny seems to have dropped with James Fanshawe's four-year-old. Of the rest, Scottish Glen must be respected on his seasonal reappearance and Divine Call should be considered for Oaks-winning trainer William Haggas.
