Musical Script is obviously tempting with the assistance of Seb Sanders, but BLESSED PLACE is very quick and will be difficult to peg back if getting his own way out in front. Top-weight Multahab has a good draw and should make his presence felt.

Quite how PETROVICH has arrived here in this claimer for Barney Curley is anyone's guess, as he was trained by Jeremy Noseda when second in a Listed race at Royal Ascot in June 2006 and hasn't been out since. Unless he has regressed in an unbelievable way, even allowing for injury, he should be far too good for these rivals. Drizzi and Langford might provide the value in the race.

L'Hirondelle is interesting due to connections, but his pedigree does not suggest superstar status quite yet. The safest play is CAPE COBRA, who showed more than enough in two maidens earlier in the season to be considered good enough to land this event, especially as first-time blinkers might sharpen him up. Sophia Gardens and Le Singe Noir are exposed but could get involved if the selection does not come up to scratch.

KALLIGAL can win this unless she takes a dislike to polytrack. She did a lot of the donkey work last time at Windsor before succumbing to a potentially decent sort. Wavertree Princess seems sure to appreciate the return to this trip, while the booking of Jamie Spencer for the promising Jeninsky catches the eye. Solo River will win races, maybe even today, while Traitor's Gate is a newcomer to note in the betting.

This whole race could revolve around SPANISH CONQUEST. Handicapped on three moderate efforts over 7f last year, he is bred to stay well and could be an entirely different proposition now stepped up in trip. Polyquest could be thereabouts for a stable in form, while an eyeshield seemed to help She's So Pretty last time and she can get involved if they work again. Similar comments apply to Papradon who won in a first-time visor last time.

Jools has been in good heart recently and the booking of Seb Sanders is a positive, while the trainer of Solicitude said that his charge had benefited from a break before she won last time and it will be interesting to see if she can maintain her form. However, previous course winner JUSTCALLMEHANDSOME pretty much bolted up for this jockey at Wolverhampton a little over a fortnight ago and could follow up.
