KEY ON KODIAC got the trip well enough when fourth over C&D last time out and gets the vote, off an unchanged mark, as he remains open to further improvement over this distance. Xceleration finished narrowly in front of the selection last time and there could be little splitting the pair again, while Tahiti One has been raised 2lb for finishing runner-up over this trip at Epsom last time and should be thereabouts given he's also a dual winner on Polytrack.

GOLD FAITH wasn't knocked about when fourth over 7f on debut at Leicester and is entitled to improve with the benefit of that initial experience now under his belt. Approcaillis is improving and could finish in the shake-up, though bigger dangers may be Sir Mark Prescott's newcomer Art Bleu, who changed hands for 75,000gns earlier this year, and Rock Warbler, who took a forward step when playing a supporting role at Chester last time.

BALLET CONCERTO can be marked up for his debut effort at Ascot after he was denied a clear run but outran his starting price to finish fifth at 25-1. The experience gained is unlikely to have been lost on Sir Michael Stoute's charge, who could better that placing if granted a better passage this evening. Any money for Jeremy Noseda's newcomer Abe Lincoln would be notable, while it will be interesting to see if first-time cheekpieces can spark some improvement from Langlauf.

78-rated David Elsworth representative Bastille Day has been running to a consistent level of form around a mile and helps set the standard along with James Fanshawe inmate Swordbearer, who was fourth in the St Leger Legends race at Doncaster when last sighted. However, both have spurned more than their fair share of chances already, so perhaps it might be worth siding with SNOOZING INDIAN in the hope he can step up on the form he showed when second on debut at Southwell in the spring.

FIELD OF STARS improved on her debut effort at Nottingham when landing the silver medal at Yarmouth last week and rates the one to beat if running to a similar level of form this evening. Dark Crescent appears to be on an upward curve and should be thereabouts, while a big run from Munira Eyes would also come as no surprise as he took a forward step when third at Leicester, albeit that was 120 days ago.

BOLD RUNNER has been plying his trade in competitive events of late and faring reasonably well. Off the same mark as when third at Epsom last time, he could gain a deserved success. Ninety Minutes has been raised 1lb for finishing second over 1m3f here last time but could finish on the premises along with the admirably consistent Eton Rambler, who landed minor money off this mark at Leicester recently.

KHUSOOSY didn't enjoy the best of runs when finishing fifth in a blanket finish over C&D last time but he was only beaten by three-quarters of a length and should go close if running to a similar level of form off an unchanged mark. Royal Toast drops in grade after landing a valuable contest at Goodwood in August and is the one that could give the selection most to think about. Shell Bay disappointed on slow ground at Ascot last time but is another to consider in view of her earlier progression on better ground previously.

Foxford is now 8lb higher than when romping home over C&D in August and so preference is instead for ENCAPSULATED, who got up to win by a head over this trip at Chelmsford City last time and is expected to remain competitive following a subsequent 3lb rise. Bubbly Bailey (engaged to run at Lingfield yesterday) was fourth behind the selection last time but could narrow the gap now reopposing on better terms, while Beau Amadeus, who made all to score at Lingfield in July, could emerge as a tactical danger at the head of affairs.
