Placed on all three starts last year Carbonia makes most appeal of those with experience. Mick Kinane's presence indicates she is preferred to stablemate Kharsya. In the same context, Sail should prove best of the Ballydoyle duo with Johnny Murtagh on board, while Suantrai ran well on her reappearance and should figure. Dermot Weld's Second Glance is worth noting in the betting.

Twice a Group 1 winner last term, Jim Bolger's high-class filly SAOIRSE ABU will take all the beating on her return to action at this level. Psalm has just the one run at Naas to her name but is preferred to Leopardstown winner Halfway To Heaven by Johnny Murtagh, while Dash Back finished a creditable second on her debut last April and is worth noting on her belated reappearance.

EMILY BLAKE, in good form last year, has put in two good efforts this year and looks the one to beat here off this handicap mark. Linsalata has been running well at Dundalk but is plenty high enough in the handicap and the biggest danger may be Princely Hero, a progressive sort who has been given a chance by the handicapper. Tralee winner Alhabeeb has a big weight on his seasonal reappearance and needs to have come on over the winter.

FAMOUS NAME was seen running on well at the finish when second in a Group 3 race over 7f here last October. If he's trained on over the winter, he could take some beating as this extra furlong should prove ideal as he bids for his second win. The presence of Johnnie Murtagh aboard suggests that Greek Mythology has better claims than stablemate Great Rumpuscat but both need to improve on their latest efforts. Moiqen won nicely at Navan last October but has more to do here.

A modest fourth on his debut at the Curragh last October, WASHINGTON IRVING is nevertheless seen as a future star of the Aidan O'Brien yard and should enhance his reputation by taking this. Galway winner Unwritten Rule looks open to plenty of improvement after just two runs while Dundalk winner Dirar could run well on his return to turf. The other O'Brien horse, Hindu Kush, is going the right way and there should be more to come after just two starts.

Indian Spring was fourth in a Listed hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and won't lack fitness but Siege Of Ennis was a long way back in sixth in that Cheltenham race and has something to find. Dukedom put in some good efforts on the Flat last year and has claims here. However, DOLPHIN BAY won nicely over this trip at Navan last October and is only 1lb worse off today; he can go well fresh and looks the answer here if fully wound up after a winter's break.

ROCKAZAR has been knocking on the door on the all-weather at Dundalk lately but has shown his best form on turf. Back on a natural surface off the same mark, he may take all the beating. Boule Masquee landed a 6f race at Naas last June and if she's ready for this, must be given a chance while Curragh winner Sheer Silk and Twin Sun's, who scored at Cork last month, are others with chances.
