Aidan O'Brien unleashes two potentially smart newcomers here in Galileo Galilei and METEOR SHOWER. The former is a half-brother to the top-class Second Empire among others but the latter is likely to be more at home over this trip being closely related to smart 2-y-o Spartacus. Carpocrates and Hiking, who finished third to the selection's stablemate James Joyce over this C&D earlier in the week, are more exposed but could be contesting the places.

The consistent Monthly Medal could be suited by this step up in trip but hasn't raced since June, while Alocin disappointed at Tralee after a good run at Bellewstown. Navan runner-up Polar Fox may have stamina limitations but there are no worries on that score with LOUGHCREW LADY who could go close if reproducing her recent third at Galway on similar ground. Taqseem continues to progress but this is a big ask under top weight.

TOLPUDDLE hasn't raced since May but he loves this ground and is probably the one to beat if fully wound-up. Turnkey is worth another try over this trip and is holding his form well, while Eklim's confidence will have been boosted by his easy win at The Curragh two weeks ago. Common World, Sweet Treat and the tough Hard Rock City are others to consider in a decent race for this time of year.

MOUNTAIN got better the further he went at Navan last month so will almost certainly be suited by this extra furlong. He can reverse earlier running with Kalmez and improve past the consistent Rhythm'n Roots, who found 6f much too sharp at Naas last time but isn't certain to beat Tipperary victim Royal Intrigue again. Curragh winner Danehill Music could find this company too hot.

SOLERINA is at her best at this time of year and, having been unfortunate not to have taken Harchibald's scalp over hurdles at Tipperary last month, can make amends back on the level. Essex is a high-class hurdler in the making and won after a lay-off at Naas last month, while there are also possibilities about Irish Cesarewitch winner Clara Allen if she can confirm that form with Impartial and Virginia Woolf. Curragh winner Golden Cross looks the pick of the remainder.

OUR JAFFA was a revelation when tackling this ground over C&D six days ago and a 6lbs higher mark may not be enough to prevent a follow-up. Skyscape found Listed company too hot at Naas last month but is back in the right grade here and preferred to Bricks And Porter, who may be in the handicapper's grip now. Melody Island is consistent but continues to climb the weights and more interesting is handicap debutant Caheerloch.

Mister Hight was entitled to win easily at Navan last month but could meet his match here in GIFT RANGE. Dermot Weld's lightly-raced filly stepped up on previous efforts when chasing home Briolette over C&D last Monday and still has plenty of scope. Mermaid Island, who has been plying her trade at a higher level this season, could hold off Imperial Brief for the minor placing.

It would be no surprise to see Imperial Rose go close as she drops in class but the weights appear to favour DYNAH MO HUM. She is back over her best trip today and can reverse recent running with Dancing Water and Whoneedswings. Dolphin Bay has his stamina to prove, while Tauranga might need this though does have more scope for improvement than most. In-form Gilberto could be best of the rest.
