The auspiciously named COOLMORE looks sure to be a well supported favourite and it is hard not to see her going very well. So much is expected of her and after making such a promising debut, for a yard whose runners nearly always improve for their first runs, she can take this on her way to bigger and better things. Orangey Red and Red Stars have a chance based on their first runs, while Siamsaiocht can be a player if she leaves a poor run at Galway behind her. The three debutantes are all well bred and worth a look in the market.

This looks a perfect opportunity for SANUS PER AQUAM as he bids to regain the winning thread. Like a few of these, Jim Bolger's talented juvenile also held an entry in tomorrow's Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh and although his standard-setter was turned over at cramped odds here in July, the son of Teofilo bumped into an above-average Ballydoyle inmate in the shape of Deauville that day and is expected to go some way to proving why he's as short as 14-1 for next year's 2000 Guineas if building on that performance. Aidan O'Brien launches a two-pronged assault and the well-touted Shogun seemingly represents the yard's main hope judged on jockey bookings. Johannes Vermeer created a good impression when winning his maiden at Killarney, though, and joins the 106-rated Rockaway Valley on the shortlist.

Sherlock Holmes made every yard to score over this trip on his handicap bow at Bellewstown and should give it his best shot from the front as he bids to complete a hat-trick. This looks a deeper race, however, and preference is instead for Tony Martin's Curragh winner PYROMANIAC, who is taken to leave behind a below-par hurdles run at Galway now returned to the level. 153-rated hurdler Windsor Park and Western Boy bid to maintain unbeaten Flat records, while Silwana, third in this race 12 months ago, could also finish in the shake-up.

A chance can be taken with FASCINATING ROCK following a poor run at Windsor two weeks ago. That race was most likely being used as a prep for this race after he had a short break and he has run badly on both starts in England so may not be the best of travellers. His early season form is rock solid and he can defy his penalty today. Answered and Panama Hat are both very good horses who should go well but they would be a way short of Fascinating Rock at his best. John F Kennedy is best watched today but on his juvenile form and the vibes that were coming out of the yard early in the season he could easily take this but it'll take a brave person to back him.

The Group One of all Group Ones can go the way of dual 2000 Guineas winner GLENEAGLES. Fresh from his Royal Ascot success in the St James's Palace Stakes having bypassed the Juddmonte International at York on account of the ground, Aidan O'Brien's excellent three-year-old might be on offer at generous odds and there was enough in his Newmarket display in particular to suggest the Galileo colt will stay 10 furlongs. The impressive Derby and Coral-Eclipse champion Golden Horn found one too good in the aforementioned International and had a hard race on ground which was clearly too tacky. An improved performance would come as no surprise, while Free Eagle won the Enterprise Stakes impressively on this card 12 months ago and has last year's winner The Grey Gatsby (second) held on his gutsy Prince Of Wales's Stakes success in June. Cirrus Des Aigles makes his first trip to Ireland in what has been a glittering career and he proved he was still up to winning at this level when getting the better of Al Kazeem in the Prix Ganay at Longchamp in May.

LEGATISSIMO has demonstrated terrific versatility in a Classic-winning campaign, building on her 1000 Guineas triumph by finishing short-head seconds in the Oaks and Pretty Polly before landing the Nassau. Getting weight from the older horses, David Wachman's charge is expected to take this drop back in trip in her stride and land a third top-flight victory. Amazing Maria arrives on a Group 1 treble after backing up her Falmouth success (with Euro Charline back in second) in the Prix Rothschild and must be considered the principal threat - having enjoyed a wonderful season herself.

LIGHTNING SPEAR has been rapidly improving all season and he wasn't beaten all that far in a Group 1 last time. A repeat of that form would see him on the premises but there is still chance he could improve even further, making him very hard to beat. Cougar Mountain has been tried over a variety of distances during his career but his record over 1m is very good and his course and distance win last month is solid. Custom Cut and Top Notch Tonto should run their usual good races and Sir Isaac Newton is open to improvement.

Baraweez won this contest 12 months ago but is 10lb higher this time after his recent victory at Galway. It might be worth siding with RUMMAGING instead. Michael Halford's seven-year-old is proven under these conditions and, even after a 1lb rise for his recent 1m victory at this venue, looks feasibly weighted. Progressive Ger Lyons three-year-old Cape Wolfe could figure if his wide draw can be overcome, while any money for Stay De Night, who sports a first-time visor, should also be noted.
