STORM RISING sets the standard having finished second on his last three starts over hurdles and this looks the best opportunity for him to get off the mark with the addition of first-time cheekpieces to aid his concentration. Roibeard was fourth on his first start for Henry De Bromhead at Gowran over 2m and looks capable of improvement here, while Zaofu completes the shortlist on his second at the same meeting over 2m4f.

ST LAWRENCE GAP comes here having had a couple of runs on the Flat so should be fairly tuned up for his return to hurdles for the first time since last October, where he finished runner-up at Galway. Black Key won a maiden hurdle at Listowel when last seen and he should be in the mix once again, while One In All In looks best of the remainder on the form of his second at Wexford.

MILL QUEST was entitled to have come on for her first run in two months having finished fourth at Down Royal on debut for Gordon Elliott and the daughter of Milan can benefit from the step back up to 3m. About You has been in good form recently and can still be competitive off a career-high mark. High Nellie was runner-up to Housesofparliament at Gowran 15 days ago and has solid claims on that form.

DRAYCOTT PLACE loves this decent ground and it is no surprise to see him turned out so quickly following a routine victory at Kilbeggan just two weeks ago. The nine-year-old was assertive in the finish, and can defy a 5lb rise under Danny Mullins. Neverushacon struggled on the Flat last time and may well appreciate this return to hurdles, while The Game Changer looks best of the two Gigginstown House Stud-owned representatives.

KONIG HALL makes his chasing debut in good form having scored over hurdles at Wexford last time and the 10-year-old is backed to play a leading role here. Schmidt is another who has been successful over hurdles recently and now makes his chasing bow. He has to be respected, while Hugo 'n Taz was ultra-impressive in a Ballinrobe maiden hurdle last time when scoring by 10 lengths and is one who has plenty of chase experience to draw upon.

Wexford winner MISS SASSIE is entitled to plenty of respect here and the two-length scorer could have more to come despite a 9lb rise and stepping up in trip. Course winner Snugsborough Benny appreciated the better ground when winning at Down Royal last time and having claimed a useful scalp that day he has to be respected, along with Downpatrick third Bosco Di Alco. Jack Slade, the choice of Sean Flanagan, appears the pick of Noel Meade's pair with stablemate Net D'Ecosse also considered.

LADY LORETTO, who was going well on her sole point start before unseating her rider before then filling the placings on her opening Rules outing at Punchestown, is entitled to build on that now tried on a sounder surface with the step up in trip sure to suit the Flemensfirth mare. Downpatrick runner-up Melior appears the pick of the Gordon Elliott pair with stablemate Shirleys Gold Well also a must for the shortlist, while Presentingprincess was much improved when hitting the frame over hurdles last time having proved herself at this distance when beaten less than two lengths.
