One of three in here for Denis Hogan, ROUNDEL gets the vote. Owner Ray Treacy and his sister Regina are big supporters of the Hogan yard, and the Tipperary operator is keen to get one home in front again in the red and green silks. The Treacys are having a few winners in the UK with different trainers, and Rotokura has hit the crossbar for them and Hogan recently. With his 78-rating, Roundel could well be up to the task here. Departmentalize is another who will justifiably have plenty of supporters, with Wonwabbitwon interesting too.

It's hardly outlandish to think that many eyes will be drawn to the 87-rated Alex D here. He won't experience the ground conditions that he has done to date, and blinkers are now tried on the Oasis Dream gelding. Stall 18 isn't appealing and for a selection, newcomer THE PIANO PLAYER fits the bill. The forecast going is testing and there have been plenty of No Nay Never winners on similar terrain in recent times. One of those, So Say Ever, amazingly got a mile and six on soft to heavy at Gowran. The Piano Player could well be up there all the way from his gate two berth. He's out of a Duke Of Marmalade mare and should get the seven furlongs well.

Sheila Lavery is two-handed here with Breaking Story and Prince Of Naples, but previous course winner COMFORT LINE is taken to upstage some higher-rated rivals. Maybe a first-time tongue-strap can help the selection, and he'll get the seven furlongs well, having won over a mile here in July. That 98-rating makes Dalvey the one to aim at, and he drops back from the stakes company he's been keeping since winning his maiden in the summer. Farid is tried in a hood by Aidan Howard, as he samples Flat action after being hurdling with Willie Mullins.

Pat Martin's horses are running well and INDIANA GREY could go in for him here. Martin's Pretty Smart won at Navan on Wednesday and then at Thurles the following day, Ballinlough Gale finished second and No Way Jack third for the County Meath stable. Owner of the selection, Raymond Moore, has enjoyed plenty of success down through the years and one recalls the now UK-based Ishebayorgrey winning nine races in these silks. Indiana Grey hasn't got on the scoresheet yet herself, but her turn shouldn't be far away based on the evidence of decent performances she's been putting in recently. The first-time blinkers she wore last time are retained now, and this step up in trip looks good for the four-year-old. Many have chances all told, including Colin Keane's mount, close Galway second-placer Lottieloveheart.

Pat Flynn is no doubt keen to get one across the line in front at this stage, and an each-way play on his ACCESSORY could yield a dividend. Billy Lee dropped his whip at about the furlong pole when riding this Epaulette gelding at Thurles on Thursday. He ended up finishing fourth behind Blankiedoodie then. The County Waterford handler elects to bring the three-year-old out quickly, and it should be only a matter of time before the poorly-drawn contender sheds his maiden tag. Accessory was second over a mile at Dundalk in September but seven furlongs now is unlikely to inconvenience. Last-time-out victor The Cola Kid deserves respect, as do many others.

Jim Bolger improvers like Sheer Bravado are never easy to take on, but that Fracas three-year-old could be foiled in his bid for a four-timer by DANCE JUPITER. Of course there are others too with decent enough claims in this feature event. However the powerhouse Bolger and Joseph O'Brien representatives may be the ones to focus in on most. O'Brien's Dance Jupiter is off a 3lb higher mark after being a beaten favourite in third place at the Curragh last time. That was in an excellent handicap won by Carrytheone and Shane Crosse reported afterwards that Dance Jupiter had no clear run in the final two furlongs. Compensation may await.

Interesting to see the much-talked-of DREAL DEAL show up here for his second Flat handicap start. The Arvico gelding was backed from 20/1 into 6/4 favourite over hurdles at Navan last time, and it was quite something the manner in which he delivered. A 19lb hike in the ratings was the result, so the 45 mark here looks exploitable. Dreal Deal's movements in the market will surely help guide, but even in his point-to-points the selection looked more pace than staying power and the suspicion is that he'll be more than OK over this extended mile and three. First reserve William Of Wykeham will be a serious contender if getting a run. If not, Dashing Diamond might be one of the bigger dangers to Dreal Deal.

Denis O'Regan gave John Queally's Arcadian Sunrise a cracking ride to win on the level at Thurles on Thursday, registering his first Irish Flat win in the process. O'Regan is in action on the 'day job' over jumps Fairyhouse on Saturday, and Queally has gone for a top man again, Billy Lee, for the spin on ANNIE PENDER. This Footstepsinthesand filly finally got there to put a win on the board, scoring in a Listowel maiden hurdle last time. There might be a bit of a worry about her going right-handed but that 50-mark she has is undoubtedly appealing. Make Good is another with a major chance.
