In a wide open contest, it might pay to side with HALF FULL, who still has something to find following his modest third over 2m 1f at Clonmel last month. He's clearly on an upward curve, however, and could be up to landing a race like this. Kiltomey was well beaten in a Kilbeggan 'bumper' this month but looks an improving sort over hurdles and could prove the danger while chances might also be given to Combustible Kate, Soul Of Aran and Garryowen Oscar.

In another competitive looking contest, it might pay to side with point-to-point winner GLIBIN. Placed in her first four runs in 'bumpers', she scored in some style over 2m 2f at Downpatrick this month. She clearly knows her way round a racecourse and the consistent mare could be up to scoring first time over hurdles. The Grey Express could prove the danger after some good efforts over timber although she's starting to look exposed now. Ennisnag and Rheinland must also come into the reckoning.

Makhaaleb was second at Downpatrick this month but was well held and may struggle tonight racing off the same mark. Nakajima Nate won a maiden hurdle at Down Royal in some style but hasn't really threatened to follow up in three subsequent outings, while recent Bellewstown Flat winner Table Forty Six has lost her way over hurdles following her maiden success at Down Royal. It should pay to side with SCENE OF THE CRASH, an impressive winner over C&D this month. This is tougher but we may not have seen the best of the gelding after just three starts in public so far.

It took SOMATIC nine runs to break his duck over timber - which he did over 2m 5f here in May. A winner on his chasing debut at Wexford more recently, there should be more to come from him in this sphere and he is fancied to win again. Cottage Oak also scored first time over fences but was well held in this grade and over this trip at Killarney next time. Prosperity Square has struggled at times over fences but won nicely at Wexford latest and might prove a bigger threat.

Zagman, although generally disappointing, has shown some ability over hurdles and could go well first time over the bigger obstacles while Captain Dash, well beaten over hurdles at Cork latest, was a creditable third at Clonmel on his chasing debut and must be considered on that effort. Preference, however, is for the progressive CANAL COTTAGE, placed over fences in two English raids recently. He takes a considerable drop in class here and should be capable of opening his account over the larger obstacles.

Mountain Heather has won over timber and fences but might be in the grip of the handicapper now while Ballinrobe winner Face Facts also appears to be struggling at the weights now. D's Trix seems to have lost his way over fences but must be considered on his return to the smaller obstacles. ARDNAVALLEY may have found the step up to three miles at Cork this month a trip too far. She has gone close over shorter distances and, back over a more suitable distance tonight, could be up to landing the spoils.

Plenty in with chances but preference is for EVA LA DIVA, placed in both starts so far. After a good third over 2m at Wexford, she put in a fine effort over 2m 4f here, only tiring late on before finishing second. Back over this trip, she can make it third time lucky. The drop in trip may also benefit Millers Reef, second over 2m 2f at Sligo on his debut under rules, while Two And Gone was third over 2m 2f at Sligo on his debut but was a fair way behind and has plenty to find.
