DRAGON PULSE ran a debut full of promise when a head second at the Curragh last month and, with normal improvement anticipated, is expected to mount a bold bid again. Ellell Duke belied his starting price with a credible second on his racecourse debut at Fairyhouse last time and appears the main danger although there may also be better to come from Jim Bolger's Siansa, a Teofilo filly trying this trip for the first time after finishing fifth at Tipperary over 7f when last sighted.

TENTH STAR sets the form standard here having landed a Listed race over the track and trip at the end of last month and looks the most obvious winner. The principal threat appears to be Parish Hall, who was off the mark at the first time of asking in a 6f maiden here on debut and is expected to improve further now granted this longer trip. Orchestra Leader left his debut running behind when scoring at Navan last time and is another to consider, although he too must prove his effectiveness over 7f.

BURN THE FLOOR found Group 3 company a little hot on her seasonal reappearance at the Curragh but bounced back with a credible third in a Tipperary maiden over this trip when last sighted and looks to have been pitched into handicap company on a workable mark today. Adam's Return continues to hold his form well but may find the trip on the sharp side so of more interest are Copper Dock, 7lb higher than when scoring over C&D last month, and the unexposed Ancient Sands, who appears well treated but is making his seasonal bow.

FAMOUS NAME was put in his place by So You Think at the Curragh on his penultimate start but bounced backed to land a Group 3 prize at the same venue when last sighted. This is his level and with versatility with regards to trip in his favour, Dermot Weld's charge gets the nod. Jan Vermeer was well held by the selection at the Curragh last time and may have to settle for a supporting role again as connections reach for first-time blinkers to try to elicit improvement. Of more interest is Dunboyne Express, a Group 3 winner over a mile here who will find this a more realistic assignment than the Irish Derby he contested last time.

20:00 Leopardstown (IRE) (3YO plus)

Hawk Flight benefitted from the step up to this trip when landing a C&D handicap in April and looks handicapped to go well again off a 4lb higher mark. However, KING OF ARAN has the benefit of a recent run over the last-named and gets the vote, having hinted his turn was near when second off this mark over this track and trip earlier in the month. Long Live The King is expected to improve now upped in trip while Takeyourcapoff is another to consider now returned to handicaps after a Killarney maiden success at this distance last time.

6

20:35 Leopardstown (IRE) (3YO plus)

Leaves You Baby is respected after scoring at Roscommon last time but is 7lb higher now returned to the handicap ranks and WORDS OF WISDOM is preferred. The selection has winning form over 1m at this venue but has looked as if he'd really come into his own when tackling middle distances, which he does for the first time here. Hangar Five is a consistent sort but continues to edge up the weights in defeat and may have to settle for more minor money this evening.

21:05 Leopardstown (IRE) (3YO only)

ALABELLE finished second over this trip on debut at Tipperary last time and with the benefit of that experience now behind her, is expected to go one better. Mafi is the most exposed runner in the contest but has typically raced around a mile and cannot be ruled out now stepping up to this longer trip for the first time. Maggie Neary failed to justify favouritism over this distance at Tipperary last time but, for all she may have better to offer over 1m4f, she is another likely to be playing for place money at best here.
