Bunsen Burner has shown an above average level of form in three outings thus far and should not be too far away when the medals are handed out, while Alhabeeb compromised his chances with a slow start when debuting at Leopardstown last month and can be expected to improve with that pipe-opener under his belt. Preference, however, is for STRAIT OF MEWSINA who looked a future winner when a close third on his debut at Leopardstown last week.

NANOTECH'S second to subsequent Group 3 winner Confuchias at Naas last autumn reads well and he is taken to land the spoils on his seasonal reappearance. Haajes failed to fire in handicap company last time but has to be respected now back in maidens, while Vadarousse drops down in trip and should be monitored in the betting ring. Naked Ambition hit the crossbar on his second outing last October and merits respect on his return to the fray, while the well-bred Lidanski has been off the track since a respectable debut fourth at the Curragh nearly two years ago and should benefit from this evening's exertions.

Liffey Bank, a winner over C&D in the spring, is respected on recent form, but preference is for the in-form TASHADELEK, another with winning form over track and trip. The Victory Note mare was clear of the rest when earning a silver medal at Sligo latest and is still reasonably handicapped despite a 5lb rise for that effort. Khatinza has shaped with promise in three maiden outings and could be the danger now qualified for handicaps.

VISION OF GRANDEUR gets the marginal vote in an open race. Pat Smullen's mount looked one to keep an eye on when a comfortable winner of a Roscommon handicap over 1m 4f latest. The Grand Lodge colt was completing a hat-trick that day and should not be unduly inconvenienced by stepping back in distance. Honolulu landed an all-the-way success in a Leopardstown maiden latest but will need to continue on an upward curve to score at this level. Boca Dancer and Attercliffe emerged unbeaten in two outings last term and should go well if straight enough on their respective reappearance runs.

Aluana comes here on top of her game after two recent Wexford successes and a 3lb rise should not be enough to prevent a bold showing on her hat-trick attempt. She is, however, stepping up in class and STAR WOOD gets the vote. The selection gained a clear-cut victory over hurdles here on Saturday and can improve upon two recent placed efforts on the level. Last-time-out Clonmel winner Mad Existence makes most appeal of the remainder.

John Oxx relies on three here and DANCE THE CLASSICS appeals as the best of the trio. The Sadler's Wells filly has shown steady improvement in each of her three starts to date and her second to Tamimi's History was franked by that rival's success in a Leopardstown handicap on Wednesday. Frutti Tutti compromised her chances with a slow start when debuting at Clonmel last week but should be sharper this evening, while Posh Lady and Instant Sparkle have place prospects on form shown to date.

WESTERN SHORE stayed on into a place in a handicap here on his seasonal return last month and can go one better off the same rating this evening. The selection has only five career outings to his name and should have the scope to progress further. Top-weight Cozzene's Honor is well treated on his best form and made a pleasing return from a near two-year absence when a close fifth at Leopardstown in the spring. He should be sharper for that outing and rates a danger along with last-time-out Ballinrobe winner The Chip Chopman.
