Doubts here about Sendinpost stepping up in distance, but both Kristiansand and YORK CLIFF are sure to get every yard as they renew battle after the pair had a good struggle at Ayr in May. On that occasion, the latter came out on top by just over two lengths and, despite being 1lb worse off, is taken to confirm superiority. Rule For Ever is a genuine sort who will run his race but a more interesting candidate is Ostfanni who has been mixing codes but has a great record around here.

Go Imperial has a squeak here, as does Temtation who has more success when racing in claimers. On a line through Hereford Boy there is very little to separate Bungie and MY DROP but the latter gets the vote due to some sound efforts in better company. Starting off the year winning at Southwell, he was then tried in higher quality races and can take care of these rivals dropped into selling company for the first time.

Skyelady has not won since a winning debut in April 2005 but Charles Parnell will be more at home in this grade and Mozakhraf made an encouraging return to turf at Ayr last time. The veteran Anthemion gave signs at Hamilton that he was returning to his best, but if MEGALO MANIAC can reproduce his Southwell running he is the one the rest have to beat. The Efisio gelding put in some sound efforts last summer and, after a break, has come back looking better horse.

Primo Way seems hard to win with but, returning to the Flat after several outings over timber, Ballyhurry is at home at this level. Wahoo Sam does not appear the same horse on the turf and he needs to bounce back and the nod goes to LITTLE JIMBOB. He made all when winning at Carlisle on his only run to date in a claimer and a similar effort will see him bang there at the finish here.

There is a race to be won with Rebel Pearl on the evidence of her second place in a Leicester claimer and Grand Diamonds's best effort so far was his latest run at Newcastle. Strabinios King won what looked like a weakish maiden at Catterick and may need a bit more today but FIVE WISHES has taken the transition to handicapping in his stride with two decent placings including when just headed on the line at Carlisle. He can go one better here and open his account.

The fancied runners here meet up on regular occasions and each time they do so there is a different result. It is difficult to split the contenders but the draw here mostly favours low numbers over the minimum trip so Compton Classic looks one to oppose, along with Divine Spirit. But from stall three MAROMITO may have an advantage. Robin Bastiman's gelding is still a force to be reckoned with as his two runs this term have shown and in a tight race he can prevail.
