QUALITY ART arrives in the middle of a real purple patch and was only narrowly touched off when in search of his hat-trick here on Saturday. The son of Elusive Quality is turned out quickly, suggesting he has come out of that race in good nick, and makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark of 58. Of the others, Roy's Legacy and Pharoh Jake are C&D winners and the latter rarely runs a bad race so he is feared most.

A select but highly competitive fillies handicap in which slight preference is for BINT DANDY, on the basis that she arrives buoyed by her recent Chelmsford City success. The daughter of Dandy Man had the reopposing Maggie Pink almost two lengths behind that day, running from 1lb out of the handicap, and the course winner can confirm the form. Semaral finished two-lengths fifth in a bunched finish here last month and is noted along with Sonnetation.

Ventriloquist sets a high standard for leading connections but the son of New Approach has returned a beaten favourite on his last three outings and could be worth taking on at the prices. Hakam is an interesting newcomer representing Charlie Hills, aboard whom the booking of Ryan Moore screams confidence, but preference is for experience and NEWHOLM gets the nod. He has finished second both here and at Southwell in two starts thus far and displayed improvement when getting within a length of Hills And Dales last time.

GIOS LAST completed the a hat-trick under penalty at Wolverhampton last week and looks to have more improvement to come. He gets the vote, but Westerly is reluctantly passed over, as she had a subsequent winner in arrears when scoring over C&D last month. The penny dropped for Par Three when he got off the mark at Kempton and a meagre 3lb rise in the handicap should leave him with room for manoeuvre.

GREATEST JOURNEY is a fast improving three-year-old, landing the four-timer with plenty to spare at Kempton most recently. He has proven himself tactically versatile thus far, which will stand him in good stead in this potentially muddling contest. A fifth consecutive victory beckons, though Four Seasons merits the utmost respect for Charlie Appleby and Ryan Moore. Carry On Deryck acquitted himself well in Listed company last summer and shouldn't be overlooked, but Anonymous John, Pharmaceutical and Polarisation will need to step up to land this.

SABRE ROCK is now 22lb higher in the handicap than he was when starting his winning spree but such has been his level of progression, he is fancied to defy the assessor and land the five-timer. Lady Lunchalot saw off Apache Glory by a head over track and trip 12 days ago but Daniel Mark Loughnane's seven-year-old can reverse that form on slightly better terms today. He is feared most, though Hector's Chance can't be discounted and any market strength behind Rain God could prove significant.

SKIDBY MILL has been enjoying a consistent run of form in recent months and, with the return to a mile in her favour, she looks the one to side with in a contest where the majority of her rivals have something to prove. Youm Jamil is the exception to that rule and he poses the greatest threat on the back of another solid run at Chelmsford last time. Greek Islands and Jonnie Skull are considered for each-way purposes and complete the shortlist.
