NAT LOVE was fifth over 7f at Chelmsford last time but could appreciate the return to 1m, over which he picked up the silver medal at Thirsk in July. Populaire took a step in the right direction when third at Bath last time and should be thereabouts, though the main danger may be unexposed Shaun Keightley representative El Conquistador, who starts life in handicaps on a workable mark and ran well in a novice race at Chelmsford latest.

DARK MOTIVE was touched off by a head over this trip on debut at Newbury and could put the benefit of that experience to good use to strike second time out. Ivynator is expected to build on a solid introduction over an extended 7f at Beverley and is considered the main danger ahead of John Gosden's Taravara, who looked in need of the outing first time out at Doncaster.

Dancing King represents a stable who are capable of readying a newcomer and is expected to show up well if his wide draw can be overcome. For win purposes, however, it might be worth siding with David Menuisier's REWIRED in the hope he can step up on the level of form he showed first time out when fifth at Newbury. The likes of Dansing Bear and Where You At could feasibly play minor roles.

SIR MAXI bumped into a useful rival on his debut but got off the mark at the second attempt at Pontefract last time. That form suggests that an opening mark of 73 is fair and he may still have more improvement left to come. Dillydingdillydong may not have been suited by the drop to 6f last time and he should not be underestimated, while Publicist and Host are others to note.

MIAELLA arrives here on the back of two wins in recent months and even an 8lb rise for the most recent of those victories may not be enough to stop her from making it a hat-trick today. Princely has been a consistent performer this season and he should go well once again, while Katherine Place and Thegreyvtrain complete the shortlist.

THERMAL has made the podium in amateur rider contests the last twice and is interesting off just a 1lb higher mark here with a handy 7lb apprentice taking over in the saddle. Thunder Flash finished third off this rating when looking to follow up a course and distance victory at Windsor last time and is considered, with Plansina and Beat The Breeze others to consider.

TEMUJIN was a winner over track and trip off 7lb lower in August and showed enough encouragement when third over a mile off this rating last time to suggest another big run could be on the cards now returned to 10 furlongs. Narjes rattled the crossbar in a course-and-distance claimer when last seen in February and now rejoins the handicap ranks on his first outing for Mick Appleby. Jeanette May is interesting stepping up in trip with Hollie Doyle booked for the ride, while recent Bath third Brown Eyes Blue makes appeal off the same mark.

MISTRESS NELLIE did well to hang on over 10 furlongs at Windsor last time and could have more to come off a 3lb higher mark here, with the step up in trip in the five-year-old's favour. Born Leader was denied by just a short head at Nottingham recently and now drops back in distance off the same rating, with the talented Saffie Osborne taking over in the saddle. Cheese And Wine ran better than the bare result would suggest when a beaten favourite at Wolverhampton last month and is another who could get in the mix.
