AHRAAM got his hurdling career off to a solid enough start when runner-up behind East Indies at Plumpton last month with Jim Dandy, who reopposes, back in third, and Harry Whittington's charge can confirm that form here. The latter looks best of the remainder and is entitled to improve for the first time cheekpieces, while Fool To Cry won a claimer last time at Windsor for Roger Varian and was bought subsequently by Neil Mulholland.

GHOST RIVER was highly tried last season over timber when contesting Grade 1 contests at the spring festivals and will appreciate this much easier task against two winners who are both giving away penalties in Templehills and Linguine. The former benefited from the step up in distance at Uttoxeter last month and rates as the main threat, while the latter has to improve on his recent second at Worcester to be competitive.

HOW ABOUT IT was disappointing on his last couple of starts last season, including when pulled up in the National Hunt Chase behind Minella Rocco at the Cheltenham Festival and, with the string of Rebecca Curtis already in better form starting this season, the son of Kayf Tara could prove to be fairly handicapped on his return to action. Set List looks a threat if over that heavy fall last month at Stratford, while Easy Street will benefit from stepping back up in distance having excelled on his only attempt over further than 3m when routing a field at Fontwell in June.

Nordic Nymph looked like a progressive mare in the 2014/15 season and it will be intriguing to see how she returns to action after a 602-day absence. She should appreciate this trip and ground if fit and firing, but the seven-year-old tackles a few promising types here and could find Martin Keighley's MORNING HERALD too good. She gave weight and a beating to the useful Avispa when last seen at Exeter in May and the daughter of Lucky Story can shrug off doubts about her jumping to land this on her seasonal reappearance. Lilywhite Gesture ran well against higher-rated rivals at Perth last time out and merits respect alongside the in-form Miss Mobot.

ASCOTDEUX NELLERIE won twice here last season on decent ground and he rates as the one to beat on his return to action. Kim Bailey's charge ran well on his return following a mid-season break last season and the son of Germany has often shaped in past performances as though he would relish the larger obstacles. I'dliketheoption already has the benefit of experience over fences and this drop in trip should suit Jonjo O' Neill's charge, while Master Dee needs to improve his jumping but faces weaker opposition than last time out at Warwick.

It is hard to oppose TEMPURAN, who bolted up at Bangor last week and a 7lb penalty is unlikely to stop him from going in today if the seven-year-old has fully recovered from those exertions. Orthodox Lad would have a leading chance based upon the pick of his form but he disappointed over fences last time out. Orion's Might remains a maiden but he could pick up some place money in this moderate contest.

Simply Blessed sets the standard following her second on debut at Worcester in June but her last two performances suggest that she is vulnerable. RAVELOE has shown more than enough ability in her two starts to date to suggest that she can take a race of this nature and she is is the preference ahead of Sports Day. The daughter of Beat Hollow was a disappointing last when favourite on debut but it is too soon to be writing her off, especially with Charlie Longsdon's yard in such fine form.
