Red Mercury opened his account over timber at Market Rasen in June and although he disappointed when last sighted in this sphere, when a mistake two out dented his chances of following up at Stratford, he could feasibly bounce back now eased into selling grade. However, the last-named has to concede 6lb to RAINY CHAMPION and the weight discrepancy swings the balance in favour of David Pipe's charge, who is the highest rated on official figures. Sinadinou, runner-up in a C&D maiden here two weeks ago, is another to consider.

TIGER O'TOOLE hasn't been sighted over fences since a creditable third at Sedgefield in 2009 but has progressed into a smart hurdler in the meantime and landed Grade 2 honours at Aintree in January. If Evan Williams' charge can transfer his hurdles form back over the larger obstacles, he would take plenty of beating here, given he's gone well fresh before (won first time out last season). Tatispout, 127-rated over hurdles, is feared most on his first run in this sphere while Gordon Elliott's Definite All Star looks the pick of those with previous chasing experience to their name.

Lava Lamp sets the clear form standard based upon his previous accomplishments over timber and would take all of the beating if reproducing the form that saw him finish third over 2m4f at Fontwell earlier this month. However, Evan Williams' charge is likely to be sent off at short odds and there could be a value alternative in SOHAPPYHARRY, who showed plenty of promise in bumpers and could build upon a moderate hurdles introduction at Hereford with the benefit of that experience now behind him. My Girl Millie appeals most of the remainder but needs to better her recent C&D effort considerably if she is to figure.

RIVER RHAPSODY couldn't be described as anything other than moderate over hurdles but chasing has no doubt been his long term aim, given his breeding (out of a dam who landed top-level honours over fences at Leopardstown) and a market move for Evan Williams' charge, on his first run in this sphere, would be noteworthy. Jim Tango flopped on his last outing at Bangor but has won twice over fences previously and could be reasonably treated on his best chase form. Olympian Boy was a good winner at Fontwell yesterday and would have to be respected if turned out again.

Papradon took a keen hold when last sighted at Uttoxeter and will need to settle better if he is to see out this trip. Of more interest is Nicky Richards' veteran ITZACLICHE, who gained reward for a series of consistent efforts when getting his head in front in a marathon race at Cartmel in August. His previous hunter chase form suggests this drop in trip will not inconvenience. The Duke's Speech is sliding down the handicap and warrants consideration along with Timpo, who may be rejuvenated by a break and the return to 3m.

Parc Des Princes was given too much to do by his rider at Huntingdon last time and looks handicapped to strike at any point when given ample time to get into full rhythm. However, there is the niggly suspicion that his time may come when stepped up in trip and marginal preference is for MISTER FANTASTIC, who is 6lb higher than when scoring at Stratford in August and has been kept sharp on the Flat since. Penalised Uttoxeter scorer Lukeys Luck could still be ahead of the assessor on what is only his second run in handicaps and is another to consider.

ESPORAO made all of the running when scoring at Downpatrick in August and although he was denied a double at Perth latest, he has solid claims of bouncing back if capable of eliminating the mistakes that hampered him at the third and second-last flights that day. Sublime Talent broke his maiden over this trip at Ballinrobe in May and is feared most now returning from a three month break after a poor showing at Galway previously. If I Were A Boy ran with promise on her return to hurdles last time and has place claims if the cheekpieces work to good effect again.
