HIGGY'S RAGAZZO had some useful form on the Flat for Richard Hannon and he is very interesting making his hurdles debut for Nicky Henderson today. He has the scope to make a useful hurdler and this looks like a good starting point. Lamps sets the standard on the form of his Sandown second last month and he can make his presence felt once more. Sir Pitt should improve for his hurdles debut but he will probably need to.

BOTTMAN won with a bit in hand at Towcester last month and there could still be more improvement to come so he is fancied to give a good account today. Thanks For Coming, a bumper winner last year, shaped nicely on his hurdling debut at Doncaster last month and he is accorded the utmost respect. Soir D'Estruval, who won on his only start to date in France, is interesting on his debut for Alan King.

QUANTITATIVEEASING ran out an impressive winner over 2m6f at Fontwell on only his second run over fences last month and he appears to have an ideal opportunity to win again today. Fin Vin De Leu took a tumble on his chasing debut at Fakenham last month and, although he is a capable performer on his day, he might be best watched at present. Springfield Raki could be the one to ask most questions of Nicky Henderson's representative.

SILVER ROQUE shaped as though a step up in trip would suit when third to Arrayan over 2m at Wincanton last month and he could prove ahead of the handicapper off his current mark. The Magic Bishop has been raised 9lb for his gutsy Newcastle win over 2m last month but he is open to some improvement and worthy of consideration. Tippering also makes some appeal on his first foray into handicap company.

5

15:35 Market Rasen (Class 4) (5YO plus)

Eric And Lucy Papworth Handicap Chase

2m 6f 110y

MISTER WISEMAN has been raised 5lb for his Uttoxeter success last month but he still looks reasonably handicapped on his best form so it would be no surprise to see him take all the beating again. Porta Vogie returned to form to finish runner-up at Southwell last time and a reproduction of that effort would give him claims. Gaora Lane has dropped to a decent mark and he could figure if the application of blinkers sparks a revival.

16:05 Market Rasen (Class 6) (5YO plus)

Beaumontcote Maiden Hunters' Chase

POPPY DAY performed with credit in a point-to-point last month and that will have blown away any cobwebs so she will be expected to make her presence felt in this contest. Indian Print has a good record between the flags and is an interesting contender on his debut under NH rules. Keeverfield is also worthy of consideration, with Exit To Luck and Ask Bobby others of note in an interesting heat.

7

16:35 Market Rasen (Class 6) (4YO to 6YO)

Corona Extra Standard NH Flat Race (Conditionals' And Amateurs')

All That Remains, a winner between the flags last year, got off the mark on his NH debut at Fakenham last month and he looks sure to go well again. Theredballoon is returning from a spell on the sidelines but he has major claims if returning to action at the top of his game. However, slight preference is for OTTERBURN, an attractively-bred newcomer representing a stable with a very tidy record in races of this nature.
