LUCKY LANDING is rated 132 over fences and if he performs to anything like that mark he will take some beating back over hurdles this afternoon. Prompter, a decent performer on the Flat, failed to justify favouritism on his jumps debut at Southwell last month but he is entitled to improve for that and must be respected. Saints And Sinners is also considered, along with John Quinn's hurdling debutant Newport Arch.

Lough Inch has been disappointing so far but still has time on his side and confidence behind him here would be a big positive. Lord Luso is interesting on his handicap debut, while Zouti and Uncle Brit also make the shortlist, but the one to beat could be HARRYS WHIM. John Weymes' charge carries a 7lb penalty for his Wetherby romp last week and although still 2lb out of the handicap, he is officially 30lb well-in as his mark is due to rise to 103 for future races.

Eddie G showed a decent level of ability in two runs between the flags in Ireland last year, including a solid second to the very useful Knock A Hand, and he looks a leading player on his debut under NH rules today. However, MR NOSIE was a useful performer over hurdles in Ireland and though he is yet to score over the larger obstacles, he can change that statistic today on his first run for Nicky Richards. Neither Prince Of Denial nor Billy Cuckoo can be confidently ruled out.

Diamond's Return is on an upward curve but he is now 21lb higher than when completing the first leg of his hat-trick and he might consequently find life tougher. GREYFRIARS DRUMMER has been raised 5lb for his handicap debut success at Southwell last month but he did win with a little bit in hand on that occasion and he is open to further improvement over hurdles. Aneyeforaneye is also considered, along with the potentially well-treated Alfie Flits.

WHISTLING SENATOR won off a mark of 97 over hurdles at Huntingdon last week so he looks sure to take all the beating running off the same rating over fences this afternoon. Foot The Bill finished runner-up over 2m4f here last month (winner has won again since) and, with the step up in trip unlikely to pose a problem, he should be on the premises once more. North Stack is in good heart and he can also take a hand, along with Gee Dee Nen.

Oh Right scored at Cartmel on Monday but a 7lb penalty makes life tougher and DIPITY DOO DAH gets the vote. She was narrowly denied when runner-up over this C&D on her return from over a year off last month and even a reproduction of that effort would make her a leading contender today. My Mate Vinnie is unexposed and he is worthy of consideration, and the same can be said for Mahayogin.

The Ferick sets a fair standard on form and he looks sure to go well, especially given his stable's good record here. However, it might be worth siding with Jonjo O'Neill's newcomer, SIBERIAN SUN. He makes plenty of appeal on breeding and confidence behind him on his debut would be a telling sign. Don't Mistake Me was not disgraced on debut and he could take a hand. Thank U is another worth a precautionary market check.
