THEATRE was given a gentle introduction at the Curragh last month and, like most runners from the Aidan O'Brien stable this year, is expected to come on plenty for his first run. The selection appeals on breeding as he's a Galileo colt out of Moyglare and Prix Marcel Boussac winner Rumplestiltskin and with a Group 2 entry on the horizon, he's one to keep a close eye on in the betting. A stablemate of the selection, Count Of Limonade (who is closely related to the classy Lillie Langtry) is another that could leave his debut running behind, while Einsteins Folly, narrowly touched off over this trip at Gowran, and Dermot Weld's newcomer Johnny Lynch, are others to note.

Debut scorers Aklan and Karatash are stepping up in grade and could be anything, but it should pay to side with one of those with proven Pattern form. TOWER ROCK kept on well when headed in the Derby trial here last month and gets the verdict now dropped into Listed grade. Coral Wave needs to prove her stamina for this trip but warrants the utmost respect in view of her 7f Group 3 success at the Curragh last term and her promising 1m run here in the 1,000 Guineas trial last month. Tannery, a recent Listed winner at Gowran, has no concerns on the stamina front and looks best of the rest.

ALHELLAL is a dual winner over hurdles and has successfully transferred his form onto the level with two recent all-weather victories at Dundalk. Although he's been raised 8lb for the last of them, the step up to this longer trip should continue his improvement as there are no concerns in the stamina department. Beau Michael and Headford Flyer are closely matched on their recent Clonmel running and merit inclusion on the shortlist, along with Capellanus, who looks on a fair mark and has the assistance of Johnny Murtagh in the plate this evening.

Doncaster Cup winner SADDLER'S ROCK will be looking to cement his Ascot Gold Cup claims with a big performance and, although he lacks a recent run like some, he's proven over C&D, acts on good ground and would take all the beating if putting his best foot forward. Unaccompanied ran a very solid race in defeat behind Fame And Glory at Navan latest and looks the principal threat with match fitness in her favour. Steps To Freedom was third behind the last-named that day and is another in with claims, although there is no obvious reason why the placings should be reversed.

Diamond Daze was outpaced in the closing stages when third at Gowran last time and is expected to improve now returned to 1m while there could be better to come from recent Dundalk runner-up Opening Nite, who drops back from 1m3f but has recorded both of his career victories to date over 1m. Preferred ahead of both, however, is ARAGORN ICON, who has been running respectably on Polytrack over the winter but is at his best of turf. He's slipped 2lb lower than when scoring over this trip at Killarney last summer so is considered well handicapped.

BADGER DALY broke his maiden over 1m at Dundalk in April but shaped with promise on his handicap bow over 1m3f at the same venue thereafter, grabbing third and hinting there were further races to be won with him in the months ahead. The form of that race has been boosted by the fourth winning next time out and he's taken to get the better of Mutasareb, who has looked held by the handicapper in recent outings, and C&D winner Strandfield Lady to land the spoils.

Handazan has improved for the step up to middle distances this term and helps set the form standard based on his last-time-out second at Naas, when touched off by just a short-head into second. However, he's already spurned several opportunities now and it might be worth chancing the less exposed EL SALVADOR, who is expected to come on plenty for his debut run and improve for this stiffer test. Tiger At Heart needs to raise his game to trouble the principals but has place claims nevertheless.
