WESTERN MILLER was an impressive winner at Bangor last month and an 8lb rise in the ratings is unlikely to stop him from going very well once again. Third Act was not beaten far in a competitive enough heat at Chepstow in April and he should be in the mix once again, while Sam Noir flopped at Worcester last time but won at that venue the time before and still has potential over timber.

Top Tip: Western Miller (1)
Watch out for: Third Act (4)

A tongue tie really helped WESTERN MILLER's finishing effort at Bangor a month ago, and with his usual forcing tactics an asset at this speed-favouring track, he could well follow up. Sam Noir was disappointing at Worcester last time but he remains with potential as a hurdler, while Kalifourchon is one to note in the betting given his record fresh.

SYMPHONY OF ANGELS has won both of his starts over hurdles and he can make it a hat-trick today despite having to give at least 14lb to all of his rivals. Air Squadron is a useful Flat performer and he has shown promise in a couple of starts over obstacles. Mathayus and Pomme both need to improve to be successful today but the latter would be the pick of that pair.

AIR SQUADRON showed signs that he's getting the hang of hurdling at Perth last time and has scope for better based on his Flat form, so he's taken to enhance his yard's excellent recent run by getting the better of hat-trick seeker Symphony of Angels who's giving the selection a stone. Pomme would be a big player if she's over whatever was ailing her when last seen a couple of months ago.

The form of MISS CONWAY's win at Hexham last month has been boosted with the second winning since and the third has also placed again subsequently. With that in mind, it is quite surprising to see the six-year-old mare arrive here just 2lb higher in the ratings and she warrants the utmost respect. Minella Forfitness was only denied by a nose when trying to follow up his C&D win when second at Southwell last month, while Gold Ingot may be underestimated by a 6lb rise for his latest victory.
