PEADAR MIGUEL was sent off at long odds on his hurdling debut at Huntingdon last month but defied market expectation in finishing runner-up and is taken to go one better with the benefit of that experience now under his belt. Cygnet, who usually gives his running, ran well over 2m3f here in April and can give him most to think about. Encompassing, twice-raced over hurdles and a useful performer on the Flat, appeals most of the remainder.

Meridiem has been in good form at Towcester and has solid claims off his present mark if his stamina holds out over this longer trip. Andorn, 8lb higher than when scoring at Sedgefield last month, and Long Distance are two others to consider but are also stepping up in trip and it could pay to side with the proven stamina of POLLEN JOCK, a recent 2m4f winner at Fakenham. Another bold front-running display would see him go close here.

POINTS OF VIEW sets the form standard based on his Uttoxeter second over this trip last time out and seems to be improving with experience, so gets the vote ahead of Stage Acclaim, who ran with promise on his chase debut at Worcester earlier this month and now drops back in trip. Laureldean River has winning course form over hurdles but needs to better his chase debut effort last month at Southwell if he is to figure.

Call It On scored over 2m1f here last month and seems to have got the hang of things over timber so is very much respected, despite a rise in trip. However, the vote goes to SPEEDY DIRECTA, who dead-heated for first over this trip at Stratford last month and is taken to follow up off a 5lb higher mark. Space Telescope's hurdles victories have come over 2m and, having failed to stay over C&D last time, he may have to settle for minor money.

KARINGREASON gained reward for a series of credible runs in defeat when opening her chase account over 2m4f here last month. Keith Reveley's mare steps up in trip today but appears the most likely winner with the possibility of further improvement. Itzacliche scored over C&D in his younger years but typically made his mark in hunters' chase company so Another Trump is feared most having dropped to within 6lb of his last winning mark.

Executive's Hall would warrant serious respect if coming through a planned engagement at Uttoxeter on Thursday unscathed. However, GALLEY SLAVE, a C&D winner last month, gets the vote now dropping back in trip, having been well held over 3m2f at Cartmel last month. Bow School advertised his well-being when landing a hunters' chase at Wetherby last month and, although back up in grade, appeals most of the remainder.

Henry Daly's charge, SURE THING, could prove to live up to his name in the finale after showing promise when third on his debut at Ludlow in May. The form of that bumper is working out well as the runner-up that day has since won at Fontwell, which bodes well for favourite backers here. Of the rest, market moves for newcomers Open Country and Sudden Light would be worth noting.
