On My Command brings the strongest level of hurdling form to the table, having finished fourth in a Listed event at Taunton last December, and a wind operation, combined with a tongue-tie, might yield further improvement. However, MOONAMACAROONA represents top connections and improved with each outing in the bumper sphere, winning at both Warwick and Chepstow. The latter performance, which came under a penalty, was her best so far and the switch to hurdles, along with the step up in trip, is likely to see her progress. Glimpse Of Gala won at the second time of asking over timber at Fontwell but she will need to improve from that effort as she gives weight away all round here.

AT POETS CROSS looked a decent type when running out a comfortable winner of his second start at Bangor last month and the five-year-old is expected to improve again for going over hurdles, with his dam being a half-sister to Grade 1-winning hurdler At Fishers Cross. Fair Star won a juvenile bumper on this card two years ago and has since made up into a useful performer on the Flat. He is of interest along with Maninsane, who has placed twice so far over timber, and Presenting Pete.

MARTELLO SKY's sole defeat over timber last season came when down the field in the Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival as she improved from that effort to win a Listed contest at the same course in April. The five-year-old remains capable of better over hurdles and she makes plenty of appeal on her handicap debut. Winged Isle ended last season in excellent form, winning twice in April, and he must enter calculations, along with Breaking Waves, who has become a more consistent performer in recent months.

BEYOND THE CLOUDS was game when landing a warm race at Warwick last month in first-time cheekpieces. The eight-year-old retains the headgear here and he can defy a 2lb rise for that success. Dino Velvet bumped into a progressive rival when last seen at Newton Abbot and merits respect in this field, while Stolen Silver is one to note for any market support on his reappearance.

Gortroe Joe recorded an encouraging effort when posting a second-placed finish over C&D last time and he is likely to figure here after a 1lb rise. However, a chance is taken on the lightly-raced GUY, who created a strong impression on his chase debut at Huntington last season. The six-year-old appears to be on a workable mark and this could be the time to catch him. Francky Du Berlais has been in excellent form this year and returns from a short break, while Casablanca Mix and Senior Citizen also hold claims.

In a moderate event it is hard to oppose CILLUIRID, who got off the mark over fences in impressive fashion at Sedgefield late last month. A 7lb rise in the ratings for that success appears to be fair and he may have more improvement left to come. Begoodtoyourself is an obvious threat following his narrow defeat at Worcester last time, while Check My Pulse is the pick of the remainder.

With no form to go on at all the betting market will be a key guide, but marginal preference is for SARSEN, who cost 37,000 pounds last year and he is closely related to plenty of winners in the US. The booking of Brian Hughes means that Trolley Boy has to be of some interest, while Lady Samson and Simply Red are others to consider.
