CLEAR THE RUNWAY claimed a similar event on his latest outing at Southwell and he could be tough to beat in this hat-trick bid. Laura Morgan's charge had been in fine fettle over fences before reverting to the smaller obstacles but it did not inconvenience the son of Jet Away as he made light work of three rivals. Boreen Boy ought to give a bold showing following his Huntingdon success, while Booley Beach is not dismissed for all that she would need to take a considerable step forward.

The vote goes to LIGHTNING ATTACK, who returns to the scene of his February success following a narrow defeat on the Flat at Musselburgh. Ben Haslam's charge remains unexposed in this sphere and can stave off the attentions of fellow C&D winner Pateen, who drops in trip. Lady Babs returns from almost a year off the track and it will be interesting to see how she fares in the market, while Major Snugfit is another to consider in first-time cheekpieces.

LET ME BE was not disgraced in handicap company at Huntingdon earlier this month and he gets the verdict. Dr Richard Newland's gelding was staying on at the finish, suggesting he would be suited by the extra distance he gets this afternoon, and there could be more to come. Goleirihem could provide the sternest challenge if able to replicate his penultimate effort from Uttoxeter (third, beaten just over two lengths), while Irish-raider Brown Monday heads the remainder on his first start over hurdles.

DILIGENT seeks to follow up his latest effort at Newton Abbot, having claimed victory by seven and a half lengths off a mark of 125. He carries a 7lb penalty for that win and loses Kieren Buckley's 5lb claim, but his driving win last time suggests he won't struggle with the raised mark. Ask Paddington looks the biggest threat having only lost out by half a length on his last outing at Hexham, while Salley Gardens races off a 2lb raised mark than his second-placed run at Wincanton last time and is another to consider.

15:10 Market Rasen (Class 4) (5YO plus)

Morgenstern was unlucky to be brought down at Southwell two starts ago but showed no ill effects when second off his current mark at Huntingdon on Tuesday, but AVOID DE MASTER will prove hard to get past if he can replicate his last winning run at Hexham. A 3lb rise looks about right for his three-quarters of a length victory and he can secure a double in this. Rizzardo enters calculations but has stayed on over further, so may prefer a stiffer stamina test.

WAKE UP EARLY has been a revelation since joining the Dr. Richard Newland stable and he was slightly unlucky last time out when hampered on the home bend at Sedgefield. The third from that contest has gone in since and the eight-year-old is fancied to hold off The Very Thing, who has three lengths to make up with Railway Muice from their meeting here last month but is much better off at the weights with that rival today.

7

16:15 Market Rasen (Class 5) (4YO to 6YO)

INGENNIO shaped with some promise when finishing third on debut at Huntingdon and the form of that race has been well franked by the runner-up since. Richard Hobson's charge is preferred to the likes of Tommy's Fortune, who is expected to improve for a solid debut effort at Sedgefield, and Pure Jade, for whom similar comments apply. Inigo must be of interest as well for a stable that has an excellent record with French recruits.
