Oscar Honey stands out on the best of his chase form and must be respected over the smaller obstacles in his first start for Pauline Robson. However, TAKE ME THERE transferred his decent bumper form to hurdling when scrambling home at Southwell over 2m last month and with this longer trip in his favour and further improvement likely he can go in again. Spare Days is another likely to appreciate the step up to this trip and he could make the frame.

Sun King rounded off last season with wins in a claimer and a seller and he will be a popular choice to get this campaign off to a winning start. With the benefit of race fitness, RAWAABET edges the verdict. He has been in fine form in claimers of late and provided Sunday's Fontwell success has not knocked the stuffing out of him he can follow up. Spare Me has solid claims on last season's best form and warrants the utmost respect dropping to this level for the first time.

Nine De Sivola ran a blinder on his first outing since finishing runner-up in the 2007 Scottish Grand National when second to Companero at Carlisle over 3m1f, but this shorter trip might not play to his strengths and it could be worth opposing him with BAY CHERRY. Snapped up by current connections after winning two point-to-points earlier this year, he could become a really useful chaser this season. Coe shaped with some promise on his chasing debut at Haydock last time and is entitled to improve for that run.

Ballyvoge made an encouraging seasonal reappearance behind The Gangerman at Carlisle last month and, provided he improves for that run, can play a leading role here. Extra Smooth certainly shaped as though he would improve for the run on his first outing for over a year earlier this month and is also respected. Charlie Mann has his team in fine form at the moment and BORERO could be the one to side with here. He showed ability over fences in France last year and looks the type to progress this season.

Money Point was a well-beaten second behind Araldur over 2m1f at Chepstow earlier this month, but this longer trip could show him in a better light. Mage D'Estruval showed plenty of form over fences last season but might find this trip a little sharp on his reappearance so, with that in mind, preference is for CATEGORICAL. Fit from the Flat and with winning form over this trip he can go well back over obstacles.

DAN BUOY scored with such authority at Wetherby at the weekend that he must be the starting point here under a 7lb penalty. If that has taken the edge off him then C&D winner Markington could be the one to benefit. If the ground got really soft then At The Money could be the one to side with. Flying Doctor does not seem the most reliable but would have possibilities if putting his best foot forward.

Run Forest Run won over 2m4f at Newcastle last month but the drop back to this trip could count against him here. ART GALLERY was well behind him on that occasion but he looks more likely to be suited by the trip and gets a tentative vote. Upright Ima has little recent form to set the pulse racing but could get involved in a weak affair.
