Lynwood Gold caught the eye when winning on debut in August but that form has not worked out very well at all and he was slightly disappointing when sixth of nine at Leicester next time. With that in mind, the preference is for HOUSE EDGE, who makes the long trip up from Newmarket. The son of Nathaniel is bred to be a useful middle-distance performer next year and he stayed on well to finish fifth on his debut at Sandown last month. The rest look to be up against it today but Handsome Bob is the pick of them.

It may have only been a claimer that SEEN THE LYTE won last time out but this is not much stronger and it followed some decent efforts in nursery company. Savannah's Show put in a career best last time out over C&D and she could prove to be the main threat to the selection. Eller Brook was a place behind Richard Guest's filly on that occasion and she should be close to her once again this afternoon.

AREEN HEART finished second in two decent handicaps back in July and he was not disgraced on his last start for Richard Fahey in a valuable event at York's Ebor meeting. Heir of Excitement chased home Our Charlie Brown at Catterick last month but a 2lb swing in the weights could see that reversed today. Lomu remains unexposed and it is too soon to be writing him off after his defeat last time out.

A contest for horses that find winning difficult and one who will undoubtedly prove popular is Vintage Dream as he has finished second in four of his last five starts and is unexposed compared to the majority of these. See The Sun was second earlier on in the week at Redcar and runs here off 4lb lower but a chance is given to BOND BOMBSHELL as he may just appreciate the application of a first-time visor.

PEACH MELBA ran her first poor race for a while when only beating one rival home in horrible conditions at Ascot behind Amabilis and the daughter of Dream Ahead is entitled to be forgiven that effort back in an easier contest. Whatsthemessage was tried in a Group 3 on her latest start at Doncaster and will prove happier back in handicap company, while Iain Jardine's string are in excellent form and Lucky Violet is worth considering on her return.

Jonny Delta failed to run his normally honest race on his latest start over C&D and it would be no surprise to see the veteran bounce back to the form shown earlier in the year. London Glory won at Hamilton on his latest start and merits consideration but the vote goes to STANARLEY PIC, who has been in good form on his last couple of starts at Redcar and still looks fairly handicapped.

DAWOODI got off the mark over C&D last month when winning well beating Lady Molly, who reopposes, by a length and a quarter and Linda Perrett's gelding looks open to improvement with that win under his belt. Lady Molly herself is entitled to go close on that performance, while Twentysvnthlancers was fourth on that occasion and should be right in the mix once again.
