SCHUBERT has improved between runs and is interesting now trying six furlongs for the first time. He fetched 1,300,000 dollars as a yearling and holds Classic entries, though he struggled to make an impression inside the final furlong over a mile at Newmarket latest and is worth a try over this shorter trip. Tribal Beat is fitted with first-time cheekpieces and drops back from 7f after landing the silver medal ahead of Mizaah (third) here latest. Both rivals have place possibilities.

La Fleur De Force turned in an improved performance when fourth over 6f at Navan last time and should be thereabouts if running to a similar level of form here, though it is possible the fifth from that race, GAINMILL GIRL, could reverse the form now she has the benefit of a run under her belt. Dermot Weld newcomer Not Misbegotten is a worth a market check, with fellow debutant Cool Thunder another worthy of shortlist inclusion.

LIEUTENANT GENERAL needs to bounce back from a lacklustre showing in Group 3 company at York but makes some appeal on his earlier form at Leopardstown and is respected now moving into nursery company. Al Mohalhal is fitted with first-time cheekpieces and drops back from a mile after landing minor money at Navan. He's closely matched with Munshid on their previous 6f Navan clash last month and both rivals have place possibilities this afternoon.

JOAILLIERE romped home by seven lengths in a Gowran maiden on debut and although she found Classic opposition a little too hot to handle in the 1,000 Guineas, she's been given a break since and is interesting now eased into Listed company. Fellow three-year-old Steip Amach finished third in a Group 3 last time (Laviniad back in fifth and Hint of A Tint back in tenth) and is another grade dropper to consider. The last-named had previously won the Irish Cambridgeshire prior to her Tipperary flop so cannot be ruled out.

Play The Game was beaten by under two lengths in the Beresford last time and commands respect on these terms, though of more interest is MINT CHAI, who landed a competitive nursery here last time and has the speed needed to cope with this drop back in trip. Sevenleft steps up in trip after making all over the extended 6f at Limerick and could sneak some place money if the race turns tactical.

Avalanche was touched off by just half a length over this trip at Limerick last time and should go well even after a subsequent 3lb rise. Marginal preference, however, is for THE EYES HAVE IT, who rattled the crossbar in a Fairyhouse maiden last time and for whom an opening mark of 75 appears workable. Tribal Path drops back in trip after posting a solid effort over 1m at Dundalk last time and makes most appeal of the remainder.

A lack of experience possibly caught ALMELA out when she was a narrow second in Listed company last time, but she remains a filly of vast potential and she can make no mistake this time. The main threat may come from Toe The Line, who has been running with great credit in defeat of late and should appreciate this drop in trip. English raider Endless Time scored cosily at Newmarket earlier this month and is another to consider, along with Shu Lewis and Ballybacka Queen.

NOBLE INN won with any amount in hand on his return from a lengthy absence at the Curragh last month, and though the handicapper has stepped in with a 13lb rise, he could take plenty of stopping again. Sandro Botticelli was bitterly disappointing when beaten at odds-on at Fairyhouse but he could bounce back in the first-time blinkers. He is feared most ahead of Hudson's Bay and the talented dual-purpose performer Stuccodor.
