Johnny Murtagh's GOLD PEREGRINE made a pleasing introduction when not beaten far (third) at Navan earlier this month and he's expected to have come on considerably for the run. Yhe runner-up, Aidan O'Brien's Wilshire Boulevard, went on to frank that form in a similar maiden before running well in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and he can get his supporters off to the best possible start. Crafty Codger displayed some improvement at Sligo eight days ago and is another to consider, along with Booker.

ILLUSTRATE struggled to make an impression when a moderate sixth on his racecourse debut here as a juvenile, but he left a moderate Curragh reappearance behind when second to Royal Empress at the same venue earlier this month and he's clearly improving for each visit to the track. Inkerman will also carry Derrick Smith's colours and he comes into the reckoning on the back of another encouraging Roscommon run, while Lottie Dod should be thereabouts if running up to her mark of 95.

Flaring Forth got off the mark at the seventh time of asking at Roscommon on her seasonal reappearance and, up 6lb for that win, is shortlisted here. Twice a winner over this distance, though, SAMOLLIE finished a respectable second off the same mark at Fairyhouse when last sighted and connections appear to have found him a real opening. Smoke Charger disappointed favourite backers when behind the selection on that occasion and he's likely to struggle in reversing the placings.

MOTH sets a very good standard in this year's renewal of the Oaks Trial and should take all of the beating for Aidan O'Brien. The Galileo filly disappointed in two starts as a juvenile last season but she could hardly have been more impressive when scoring on her Curragh reappearance in April and she's since finished a running-on third in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket and a creditable fourth in the Oaks at Epsom. Her Guineas form is the best on offer here, with Just The Judge (second) going on to land the Irish equivalent and Sky Lantern (winner) subsequently romping to Royal Ascot success in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes, and she's very tough to oppose. Irish 1,000 Guineas eighth Bunairgead looks to have plenty on her plate on a form line through Just The Judge but she's considered, along with the progressive Majenta and impressive Navan debut scorer Rocktique.

An intriguing three-runner event can go the way of DARWIN. Both Resolute Response and Fighter Squadron are tried in the first-time blinkers and are closely matched on their performance in the Listed King George V Cup at Leopardstown earlier this month, but Ballydoyle's charge might just have the edge. Making his first start for leading connections, Aidan O'Brien's Big Brown colt brings some useful Aqueduct Grade 2 form to the table and he's taken to prove too strong if ready to roll.

Our Conor, winner of the Grade 1 Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March, landed this pot 12 months ago and it would come as a surprise if any of these contenders followed in similar footsteps. PAYNES FIND arrives in good nick, though, and this step back up to 1m should see him regain the winning thread. A close-up second off a 3lb lower mark at Fairyhouse the last day, he hinted that a step back up in trip would suit and he's open to more improvement after just seven career starts. The threatening Dansili Dual and handicap debutant Teochrios are also given a chance.

It's not often that an Aidan O'Brien representative can be backed at odds of 10-1 for a Leopardstown maiden, but POINT PIPER defied that price when scoring with something up his sleeve there earlier this month and he's of interest now pitched into the handicap ranks for the first time. In receipt of weight from his elders, the Giant's Causeway colt can go from strength to strength and complete the double at the main expense of the hat-trick-seeking Fionnuar and Navan winner Danzerini.
