ALARM CALL had anything but a clear run from two furlongs out on debut at Naas, but when getting racing room she ran on well to take fourth behind Keeper Of Time. The half-sister to three winners can build on that and go close under Colin Keane. On the same day last month at Naas, Lincoln Hawk was a keeping-on fifth on debut behind subsequent nursery winner Fight Zone and he's similarly open to improvement. Colfer Kay has done little wrong in finishing runner-up on her last two starts and, if none the worse for quite a busy recent schedule, is another to consider. Iva Batt ran a blinder at a huge price at the Curragh and showed it was no fluke when again performing well in a small-field conditions event at this venue.

VIV VANCE showed plenty of dash when third on her nursery debut at the Curragh, and looks to have good prospects off the same mark. The furlong shorter trip on this occasion may suit her even better. Topweight Abogados had Ablah behind when not beaten far at Cork two runs ago and has Colin Keane's assistance again. Rockin Jack hasn't shown much but as a half-brother to three winners, out of a mare who won at this venue on soft ground, he might be one to improve in handicaps.

TEDDY BOY gained his only win at this track last October and he has regularly run well in defeat here as well. Dylan Browne McMonagle has a second spin on the consistent five-year-old and got a good tune out of him when chasing home the talented A Step Too Far at Bellewstown in August. Eddie Lynam's gelding may gain a long overdue second victory. Pretty Smart hasn't been beaten far in three starts since winning here in July and has a talented apprentice on board as well. Cactus Tree has been running reasonably well of late and blinkers may eke out a bit more improvement. Age may finally be catching up a little with Doonard Prince but this hardy veteran may still be capable of a bold show at a course he likes.

MIACOMET came good with two wins at this time of year in 2019 and comes here with strong claims of adding to her tally. She's been beaten under a length in her last three outings, including when having Tide Of Time just behind her when the pair were placed behind key sprint handicap form horse A Step Too Far at this track last month. Tide Of Time, a three-time C&D winner with first-time blinkers fitted, is obviously respected but the selection has plenty of good runs in the book at this venue as well and can confirm the form. Inflection Point was a most unlucky loser at this course two runs back and has to be considered, while anything Luke McAteer rides is worth a look at the moment and Iletas won her maiden here on easy ground back in June.

EMPORIO ran well to be second at Naas behind a filly who went on to run well in Listed company at Dundalk last week. A half-brother to the talented but ill-fated Sherpa, the Zoffany colt can step forward enough from that debut to score here. Laelaps has been gradually improving and had Business Speak behind when second at Listowel last time, while National Ballet could easily improve significantly from his midfield finish on debut at the Curragh. Xeres didn't match his promising first run at Galway when returning to that venue but can't be ruled out, while Ger Lyons' string has come right back into form and Colin Keane's presence on Team Of Firsts means he's on the shortlist as well.

She hasn't had luck in running several times recently and, off a handy weight, ZOOM ZOOM BABE gets the vote. A backend nursery winner at Leopardstown last year, she's been runner-up on easy ground twice this year and might have found the trip too far at Tipperary last time. Sasta has won two of her last three and a new mark of 80 may be far from the ceiling of her ability. The teak-tough Passing Trade had Memyselfandmoi just behind when second at Listowel and should be thereabouts again, while Sh Boom's close fifth in Listed company on her penultimate start makes her a definite player as well. Gerry Keane's horses are in form but Mean Fomhair may just struggle stamina-wise over this stiff mile.

NA CAITH TOBAC was supported at fancy prices when winning on handicap debut at Tipperary and can follow up over a furlong further. His trainer is hopeful that the Elzaam gelding will improve again on softer ground (good ground at Tipperary). Dual winner Ally Cay was a good second on her latest Flat run at Roscommon and a recent hurdles outing might have sparked her up a bit more, while John Oxx has enjoyed some recent success and Colin Keane is an interesting booking for handicap debutant Secret Sea. Ben Alexander travels well in his races but his stamina is suspect over this distance, while Vita Veritas won on her penultimate start at Killarney and has a leading apprentice aboard.

A half-sister to four winners, DAY DREAMIN' can defy topweight and gain a breakthrough success. Colin Keane knows her well at this stage and the pair have been second at Killarney and last time at Dundalk. Her winning siblings were mostly soft-ground performers and she's already shown that she handles an ease. Keane's title-chasing rival Shane Foley rides a big danger in the shape of the consistent Newgirlintown. A winner at Fairyhouse in July, she's been placed on all three starts since and had the selection behind (Day Dreamin' blew the start) when runner-up at Punchestown. It's good to see Ben Coen return from injury and he's won twice on Miracles In May although that one needs to step up on recent form. Stellify has been running well of late and may get into contention again, and Ms Thompson indicated ability in a couple of maiden outings last year and could be on a decent mark.
