This should be a simple task for ARCH REBEL who has already proved himself to be a useful hurdler with a first and third in Grade 2 company at Leopardstown. All Heart and Maxxium are the most likely candidates for minor honours, but not necessarily in that order.

13:05 Navan (IRE) (5YO plus)

Kevin Mcmanus Bookmakers EBF Novice Chase

2m 4f

Winner €19,530 - 5 ran

An interesting battle in prospect here, for second place, because FATHER MATT is the clear form choice after failing to win a Grade 1 event over 2m 4f at Fairyhouse by only a neck. McGruders Cross makes most appeal for the forecast, with Southern Vic and Baron De Feypo the others to consider.

3

13:35 Navan (IRE) (Class 1) (4YO plus)

Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Novice Hurdle (Grade 1)

2m 4f

Mossbank is by no means out of this and nor is Nicanor who was poised to make a race of it when falling at the second-last and leaving POWERSTATION and Travino to fight out the finish of a C&D Grade 3 contest just three weeks ago. The selection gained the verdict by a short-head that day, but might have won more comfortably if he hadn't made a mistake at the last flight.

14:05 Navan (IRE) (4YO plus)

Proudstown Handicap Hurdle (Listed)

2m 4f

Winner €19,530 - 12 ran

Brogella is capable of another bold bid, as is Urban if his latest below-par effort over 2m 5f at Cheltenham can be forgiven. Supreme Being is returning from a very long absence, so the choice is FORTMASSINI who scored twice in the space of three days last month over 2m and 2m 4f and he could easily have more to offer after being freshened up by a short break.

5

14:35 Navan (IRE) (4YO plus)

Ladbrokes Roast Turkey Handicap Hurdle (74-102)

2m 6f

Winner €7,602 - 26 ran

Renvyle Society has been making steady progress since returning to action after almost six months off, while Planaltotime ran well enough when third over 2m 2f at Fairyhouse last month and could improve for the race. Unlucky not to have won a race under rules, TOULON FLYER is in good form and earns the vote, however, especially if acceptable each-way odds are available.

6

15:05 Navan (IRE) (4YO plus)

Wesco Electrical Handicap Chase (0-123)

2m 4f

Winner €12,783 - 9 ran

DUN DOIRE was a winner twice over hurdles in 8 starts and has really hit top form in recent weeks over the larger obstacles, winning back-to-back chases at Wetherby and Haydock, not hard pressed over 2m 4f last time when beating Deja Vu by 4 lengths. It would be folly to oppose him in his current mood and he can complete a fine hat-trick. Bitsandbobs and Ransboro have some decent form in the book and can battle it out for the minor honours.

7

15:35 Navan (IRE) (4YO plus)

Christmas Cracker Mares (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

2m

Winner €6,911 - 20 ran

Plenty of last time out winners here and finding the winner will not be easy. Cloghoge Lady was a 10 length winner at Limerick last time and although this looks much tougher, she can mount a decent challenge. Freemantle Doctor is on an upward curve and is entitled to plenty of respect, but the vote goes to CRACKIN' LISS. Sent off favourite for a 17-runner event at Cork last month on his debut, she duly obliged with the minimum amount of fuss and can go in again.
