Placed in Group company earlier in the season, ELDRICKJONES should be stamping his authority on a race of this nature. Miles clear of his rivals in terms of both form and ratings, the son of Cotai Glory can follow up a recent success at Pontefract before moving back up in class. If Olympic Eagle can reproduce the form of his debut third at Salisbury then he could be a player for the in-form Clive Cox. Profit And Loss and Lucky Lucky Lucky are others to note.

As a sister to both Latrobe and Pink Dogwood, Future is likely to relish the step up in trip here with conditions to suit. However, preference is for classy hurdler HER INDOORS, who has Grade 3 and Listed honours to her name from earlier this year. Alan King's filly was a winner the last time she ran in a Flat race on turf, and she could be thrown in off 58lb lower than her hurdles mark. Kempton winner Summertime Romance could also get involved, along with Secret Shadow.

The Mark Johnston-trained juveniles have been flying of late, and APPROACHABILITY is taken to make light work of a 6lb penalty incurred for a comfortable debut success at Pontefract last month. Dark Mystery has only ever run with cut in the ground, so it will be interesting to see how he goes if getting a drier surface here. William Haggas team can do no wrong at present and improvement is expected from his Grenoble, who shaped well behind a long odds-on favourite at Yarmouth.

Plenty of these have claims but none more so than GWEEDORE, who has won four of his last five starts and he does not have to carry a penalty for the most recent of those victories. Grey Fox is an obvious threat having won his last couple of starts, while Eloquent Arthur and Sadiqaa are the pick of the remaining field.

A case can be made for all of these but preference is for TYPEWRITER, who got off the mark in a novice race over an extended mile here in August and an opening mark of 74 appears to be fair. Sanitiser returned to winning ways at Newcastle last month but a 7lb rise will make his life harder today, while Sharvara and Gorak are others to consider.

The unexposed PURPLE RIBBON made a winning debut at Chelmsford in August and she was far from disgraced under a penalty at the same venue last time. The daughter of Gleneagles makes her handicap bow today and she could go very well off a workable mark. Natchez Trace is an obvious danger after his narrow win over C&D a week ago, while Kattani is another to consider.

MAC AILEY won in decisive fashion at Hamilton on his latest outing and Tim Easterby's gelding looks capable of backing that performance up, despite a 5lb rise for that victory. Le Bayou was just denied on the line when second at Beverley last month and he commands a fair amount of respect along with Good Regal, who has stepped forward since moving into handicap company, and Intercessor.

CRESTWOOD has improved since being stepped up in trip, having won over this distance at Lingfield in June before recording two solid efforts in defeat at the same course over slightly further. The return to 1m2f can see him back to winning ways in a contest lacking much depth on paper. The Nu Form Way may prove capable of better if able to break on terms, unlike his most recent effort at Beverley, while Dolphin Vista is capable of returning to form after a below-par display at Epsom.
