Hermitage Bay has shown the best form by a fair distance of those that have run before but disappointed last time at Chelmsford when hanging badly in the closing stages. Preference is for the newcomer MUSTALLIB, who comes from a decent family of sprinters and from a yard that has done exceptionally well with speedsters over the last couple of years. The other newcomers Ace Rebel and Justice Smart are also worth a look in a fairly moderate maiden.

OUTRAGE has only had three starts to date and comes into this as the least exposed horse in the field. A good third in a Bath handicap on his most recent start, this brother of Listed winner Out Do has the profile to improve with age and could well prove to be a well-handicapped horse off 71. Flash City improved for his seasonal debut at Doncaster when second at Thirsk last week and rates as a big danger, while Shackled N Drawn ran well on his return at Chelmsford and could have more to offer back on turf.

ALWAYS RESOLUTE adapted well to hurdling over the winter months and reached a fair level as he was last seen in the Scottish Champion Hurdle when beaten just over seven lengths. The son of Refuse To Bend has the assistance of Callum Shepherd and his valuable 5lb claim makes him look fairly treated returning to the level. Brittleton's form tailed off at the back end of last season but a return to faster ground should bring about more. Goldslinger has the potential to improve for a step up in distance after his Windsor reappearance.

GREAT PAGE makes plenty of appeal back down at 6f after showing a fair level of form as a juvenile. The daughter of Roderic O'Connor ran well on her most recent outing in the Free Handicap at Newmarket when third behind Ibn Malik, and has enough speed to suggest the drop back in distance won't be of any inconvenience. Swiss Affair comes from a good sprinting family including Group winners Swiss Diva, Swiss Spirit and her half-sister Swiss Dream, who won this contest back in 2012 for David Elsworth. John Gosden's charge has the potential to still be improving having only made three racecourse appearances, while Ridge Ranger could improve for her return at Bath as she looked progressive last season.

Rock Song has returned to the track in fine order and followed up his victory over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton when striking at Haydock two weeks ago. John Mackie's charge has an 8lb rise to contend with, however, and Chris Wall's ATAMAN may be worth chancing off a mark of 77 on his handicap bow. I Am Not Here landed minor money over 1m4f at Catterick latest and has place claims, cutting back in trip.

Peak Hill has contested two higher-grade races since returning from a break and although well beaten on both occasions, he may be able to make his presence felt now eased into 0-75 company. Cajoled has been off the track since striking on debut in a Kempton maiden in December and is also expected to be thereabouts, though preferred ahead of both is ALDAIR, who is taken to follow up his recent C&D victory after a 2lb rise.

Bajan Rebel has landed back-to-back races over 7f and will be interesting if building on those efforts over this longer trip. Preference, however, is for TELLOVOI, who was denied by a nose over the extended 7f at Beverley last time and is expected to go one better now stepped back up in distance. Diamond Runner is 5lb higher than when scoring on the all-weather last month but has place claims along with He's My Boy, who is entitled to come on for his pipe-opener at Kempton.

TED'S BROTHER rattled the crossbar over this trip at Ayr latest and commands respect as he's a C&D winner off 15lb higher, albeit that victory came in the summer of 2014. Iftikaar was beaten by under a length over 7f at Catterick last month and commands respect, off the same mark, with this extra furlong a potential source of immediate improvement. The pick of the remainder may be Roger Thorpe, who is fitted with first-time cheekpieces.
