Mark Johnston appears to have his juveniles well forward this season and Riflescope, a 130,000gns son of Raven's Pass, warrants close inspection, as does 55,000gns Richard Hannon representative Gittan. Godolphin newcomer Seastrom boasts the most expensive price tag, though, having cost connections 425,000gns at Tattersalls in October, but he might have to settle for second best on this occasion as he must concede previous experience to promising Windsor runner-up RAJ TO RICHES.

North America took a big step forward from his modest opening effort when second at Wolverhampton last month and should win races in the coming months, while Wonder Laish is entitled to have learnt plenty from his promising Windsor third on debut back in the autumn. However, SHALABINA chased home a smart performer on her only start last year and there should be much better to come from this daughter of Nayef now stepped up to middle distances.

LAHAYEB might be worth sticking with having opened her account in good style over a mile here 10 days ago. Despite going up 8lb for that success, she has the scope for considerable further progress and the return to today's longer trip will be of no inconvenience. Our Kylie ended her juvenile campaign with a C&D success at this venue and doesn't look handicapped out of this, racing off a 2lb higher mark, while another of interest is the Richard Hannon-trained handicap debutant Ninepins.

The unbeaten Second Wave is sure to prove popular, turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty incurred for his comfortable Redcar success on Monday. However, he might not have won quite as easily as first thought on that occasion and is taken on with MALAF. John Gosden's beautifully-bred Elusive Quality colt justified strong market support when making an impressive winning debut at Wolverhampton in November and he has the physical scope to suggest he can do even better this year. Fellow debut winner Munfarrid is another of interest now sent handicapping, similarly Lingfield victor Solar Flair.

FOXTROT KNIGHT has gone up 8lb for his victory at Catterick but has match fitness on his side and is backed to land the double. Charlie Lad signed off last season with victory over C&D and could be a leading danger from a 4lb higher mark. Flicka's Boy trailed the second-named on that occasion, but did beat Ocean Sheridan at Beverley prior to that and shouldn't be discounted. The latter prevailed at Pontefract on his final outing of 2014 and is respected.

ROY'S LEGACY did very little wrong when he was mugged on the line at Musselburgh and could prove tough to stop from just a 1lb higher mark. Dream Sika deserves closer inspection if his reappearance third at Wolverhampton is anything to go by. C&D winner Two Turtle Doves showed promise when fourth on the all-weather in February and can give a bold account from his last winning mark. Dancing Maite hasn't won for a while but probably deserves a market check nonetheless.

GALILEANO steps up in trip after some excellent efforts in defeat and remains potentially well treated for in-form connections. The main danger appears to be Tocororo, who was agonisingly close when staying on strongly at Kempton and is entitled to strip fitter for that outing here. That Man Of Mine sports blinkers for the first time after a couple of below par efforts, but he was good enough to land an all-weather double earlier this term and might bounce back to form. The returning Cosmic Statesman deserves close market inspection.
