DHAJEEJ outran odds of 16-1 when finishing second in a Yarmouth maiden on debut just over a fortnight ago. The Roger Varian-trained colt is entitled to have come on plenty for that first racecourse outing and can get off the mark at the chief expense of Azam. He looks to be the pick of the John Gosden pair on jockey bookings and also ran with credit on his introduction at Newmarket. Alaik, Melting Dew and Tartini add further spice to the race.

The market should tell us more in regards to the chances of Face The Facts, Itsakindamagic, Scales Of Justice and Youmkin on their racecourse introductions. Preference, however, is for experience and POW WOW is entitled to take a huge step forward from what was a creditable Goodwood debut last month. Conceding experience to some decent types in a conditions stakes race that day, he emerged with credit and should be better for the experience gained.

In his last two starts SANDS CHORUS has shaped as though he is back to something like the form which saw him run out an impressive winner at Pontefract earlier this year. James Given's charge is expected to remain competitive off a mark of 76 and has been found a decent opening against these rivals. Stanley knows his way round here and must enter calculations but Goodwood second Fast Dancer is feared most.

LONDON PRIZE ran out a comfortable three-length winner over 2m at Newbury last Friday and makes plenty of appeal off just a 3lb higher mark today. He has been given plenty of time to come to hand and his patient connections can start to reap the rewards now. Hat-trick seeking Transpennine Star rates the biggest threat although chances are also given to Duke Of Diamonds, Captain Peacock and Pastoral Music.

It could pay to side with lightly-weighted three-year-old VELVET REVOLUTION, who showed no signs of stopping when opening his account in an extended 1m3f handicap at Windsor last time. He's subsequently been hit with a 6lb rise, but is open to further improvement and might be able to escape the attentions of Ralph Beckett's Parnell's Dream and Forth Bridge, who drops in class with Frankie Dettori booked.

BAHAMIAN SUNRISE has been in the form of his life in recent weeks and should make a bold bid for the hat-trick. He arrives here just 2lb higher than his most recent victory and that is negated by his rider's valuable 5lb claim. Storm Melody also arrives here on the back of a victory and has to be afforded the utmost respect, while those looking for each-way alternatives should consider John Joiner and Pensax Lad.

JUST FOR YOU made a very pleasing start to her racing career when second at Kempton back in August and the winner of that contest has since won a handicap from a mark 85. If she takes a step forward today then she will be right in the mix. Bybrook and First Voyage have proven themselves capable at this level and they also make the shortlist, along with Blue Jean Baby and Dharoos.

In a moderate race to close the card the marginal preference is for HINT OF GREY, who has the form to go well in a race of this nature and his jockey's experience could prove to be a valuable asset. Fast Play won a similar event at Windsor recently and should go well under her 6lb penalty, while Blue Top and Merchant Of Medici complete the shortlist.
