Hawkhill justified long odds-on favouritism when winning easily here last time but he shoulders a welter burden and meets CADORE on much worse terms than he would in a handicap. Lucinda Russell's representative has been expensive to follow but if he can reproduce the form of his narrow second to Cool Baranca here last month, he might be able to get off the mark today. His stablemate, Najlaa, showed ability on the Flat in 2010 and she is of interest on her hurdles bow.

Ploopluck Bridge scored at Limerick last month and he is one to consider on his first run for Chris Grant. Civil Servant has been struggling of late but his trainer does well here and he should not be overlooked. Definite All Star might be better over shorter and Fog Patches would prefer a stiffer test. True Blue is considered but a tentative verdict goes to EYRE APPARENT. He might have gone close here last time had he not made a mistake at a crucial stage and he may be ready to capitalise on his fair handicap mark.

KIAN'S DELIGHT is progressive and his second to Local Hero at Market Rasen last month gives him obvious claims. Absinthe was just behind him in fourth on that occasion and he is 2lb better off so he should be in the shake-up. First In The Queue has been raised 5lb for his Bangor success but he is still considered along with Cause Of Causes. Ultimate is another with claims and Hunterview should not be left out of calculations.

KELLYS BROW ran out an impressive winner over 2m at Uttoxeter last month and with the step up in trip likely to suit, he can play a leading role on his handicap debut today. Raajih comes into this in good heart and he must be respected along with Ryton Runner, who has been knocking on the door of late. Catch The Fire can also make his presence felt and Momkinzain should not be totally overlooked.

Red Kingdom is at the top of his game at present but a 13lb rise for his C&D success last time might just be enough to halt him in this tougher contest. Bobowen completed a hat-trick when winning at Uttoxeter last month but the handicapper has now had his say and Moulin De La Croix looks handicapped right up to her best. TOUT REGULIER has been raised 6lb for her Bangor success but she remains fairly handicapped on the pick of her hurdles form and she has only had two runs for Tim Vaughan so there could be more to come.

6

Lord Redsgirth is respected on his first run since joining Lucinda Russell from Gordon Elliott and What A Steel must be respected despite a 5lb rise for his Cartmel victory last month. Quito Du Tresor is rated 9lb lower over hurdles than over fences so he is worth a second look and Wheyaye has each-way claims. GLINGERBANK has not been at his best in two runs this season but he is nicely handicapped on his best form and he won twice here in his younger days.

ABSOLUTELY BYGONES might not have achieved a great deal when making a winning debut in a three-runner event at Hexham but he was impressive nevertheless and might be able to defy the weight penalty here. One In A Row showed some promise at Tipperary last time and he is highly respected on his first run for Alastair Whillans. Mister Pagan and Cumbrian Farmer are both worth a precautionary market check on debut, whilst point-to-point winner Lord Of Drums is also considered.
