BRAID BLUE was an easy 11-length winner over C&D when last seen back in April and, based upon that evidence, he is clearly the one to beat today. The main threat is likely to be True Romance after he made a winning debut over hurdles at Southwell earlier in the month, while Put The Law On You is the pick of the remainder.
BRAID BLUE will take some stopping after he brushed aside a couple that were already proven as fairly useful over C&D in April. True Romance took well to this discipline when causing an upset at Southwell 18 days ago, but should prove no match for Braid Blue.

CESAR DU GOUET could hardly have won any easier, albeit in a three-runner contest, at Huntingdon last time out and he should take plenty of beating off just a 4lb higher mark today. Welcome Ben returned to winning ways at Ayr last month and he could give the selection plenty to think about. Others to consider are Old Salt and Witness In Court.
This drop back in trip is unlikely to inconvenience WELCOME BEN, who boasts a good record here and, if anything, he has improved since returning from a lenghty absence in April. Indeed, his easy Ayr victory last month represented a career-best and a 9 lb rise may not be enough prevent him from striking again. Cesar du Gouet is unexposed as a chaser and is feared most ahead of Old Salt.
