Fond Memory has earned a rating of 112 over hurdles and should give a good account on his return to maiden company, but FINAL PASS is fancied to improve past him. The point-to-point scorer made a promising debut under Rules when runner-up in a bumper at Bangor and he rates the one to beat now switching to timber. This Thyne Jude ran well in a course bumper (second) before disappointing at Kelso and she holds each-way claims on her hurdling bow.

LORD OF DRUMS has an impressive record at the track overall (form figures here read 3,7,1,2,3), he performed with plenty of credit when third at Hexham latest and shades the verdict off bottom-weight in a competitive handicap. Baileys Concerto must enter calculations bidding to making it three wins in a row, while four-time course scorer Strobe merits shortlist inclusion, despite being 4lb higher than his last winning mark.

A chance is taken on the relatively unexposed DE BEE KEEPER, who shaped with plenty of promise in a strong course bumper back in September 2012 (fourth), but ran well below expectations on his handicap debut here 211 days ago. The Milan gelding has been given plenty of time to recover from that effort, steps up half a mile in trip and is given another chance on his seasonal reappearance. Scimon Templar and Oh Right also hold claims in a trappy event.

Un Guet Apens never seems to run a bad race and is sure to have plenty of supporters following his comfortable Carlisle success, but preference is for BAR DE LIGNE. He had posted a trio of solid efforts at Musselburgh (winning one) before struggling in a class 2 Kempton handicap and is expected to return to form at a track where his record reads one from one. Robbie also merits consideration after hitting the crossbar in a hurdle contest at Haydock.

A repeat of Royale Knight's neck second at Stratford should see him go close, while Tarraco is respected despite a hefty 7lb rise for his short-head Fontwell success. Preference, however, is for HIDDEN HORIZONS, who was placed over hurdles here last year and produced a career best performance when promoted from second to first at Downpatrick most recently.

The merit of SYBARITE's Ludlow success was brought into question by a below-par performance from the odds-on favourite, but he remains very well handicapped on the pick of his form and the return to the forecast better ground can see him follow up. Perfect Candidate remains feasibly treated reverting to timber and is feared most, while Bollin Fiona has done little wrong of late and boasts solid each-way claims.

Surprise Ayr winner Clan Chief will need another step forward to defy a penalty on the forecast ground, especially against some potentially nice types. Wish In A Well is expected to leave the form of his debut fifth well behind with the experience under his belt, while Nicky Richards landed a Kelso bumper last month with Sir Vinski and his Looking Well warrants respect. MAJOR IVAN, who finished second in that contest, shaped with plenty of promise despite obvious signs of greenness and the five-year-old rates the one to beat granted normal improvement.
