Bob's Ticket arrives here on the back of some useful best point-to-point form and is likely to be on offer at a generous price, so could represent some value. However, it is very hard to oppose the Gordon Elliott charge, BRAVE BEAUTY, who has been unlucky not to land a similar contest already having finished runner-up on her last three attempts. This could be her opportunity to score and the seven-year-old commands the upmost of respect. Money Tree makes the most appeal of the others.

With an Aintree novice chase success already to his name and form behind Black Jack Blues at Ffos Las, it might be worth siding with PURE FAITH in this four-runner contest. In what looks a straight match between the Peter Bowen representative and Now This Is It, experience may tell and the son of Anshan appeals most. The danger to the selection has C&D form to his name and the son of Accordion was impressive when scoring on his seasonal bow. Both Coffee Tea Or Me and Watch The Wind will have to improve significantly to get involved.

American import Tap Night made a more than pleasing debut for Lucinda Russell here over C&D earlier this month and must be respected as the four-year-old is entitled to improve for that outing. Preference, however, is for GOLDEN CALL, as he has the best form on offer here after impressing on the point-to-point scene and landing a bumper at Tipperary last month. He will have been well schooled ahead of his hurdling debut. Frontier Lad returns from a lengthy lay-off and positive market vibes will be worth taking note of.

Sun Tzu appears to be in the form of his career having won on his last four starts (two hurdles and two chases) but, after defying a 7lb hike at Uttoxeter earlier this month, the Peter Bowen charge may be vulnerable now stepping up in class with another 6lb in the ratings. He could be worth taking on with GRAY MOUNTAIN. A 2m winner here before disappointing latest, he is back on ground that suits today and the eight-year-old is also 5lb better lower in the ratings. St Killian's Run makes most appeal of the others and is one to keep onside.

BOLD PERK carries a 7lb penalty for a recent success at Hereford and after following up with a creditable runner-up effort at Uttoxeter on Sunday, the David Pipe representative could take all the beating in this contest. Tranos has winning form here and is entitled to come on for his seasonal bow at Kelso but the main danger comes in the shape of Karingreason, who was second in a similar race earlier this month at Market Rasen and remains on the same mark.

16:50 Perth (Class 4) (4YO plus)

Wallace Whittle Staff Day Handicap Hurdle

Cool Baranca is an interesting runner in this contest as she has solid enough form to her name in better company but the handicapper may have her measure following a 4lb in the ratings for a short-head success at Wetherby. Dunowen Point carries a 7lb penalty for a recent win in a similar contest and he is an obvious danger. MAVALENTA gets the nod having won cosily at Hexham this month and the Nigel Twiston-Davies charge has only gone up 3lb in the ratings so makes most appeal in this competitive finale.
