ASSET produced another solid effort when filling the runner-up spot over this trip at Windsor on her most recent start and this looks a good opportunity for her to get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. Albemagic improved on his debut seventh when second over an extended 7f at Chester latest and needs to be considered, while Feliz Navidad appears to be up against it.

Bolt Of Blue failed to land a blow when fifth on his introduction at Yarmouth, but the booking of Billy Loughnane suggests a big run could be in the offing. Even so, NAVAL COP looks the way to go. Andrew Balding's filly showed bags of pace when weakening into sixth over 6f at York earlier this month and the drop to the minimum distance might just work the oracle. Newcomer Shaqra Queen warrants a market check.

Bradbury wasn't able to bring up the hat-trick when only sixth at Beverley latest, but takes a drop in trip and remains of interest. Recent C&D scorer Mount King is another to note, but the vote goes to STELLA LUCENTE. Jack Morland's charge made every yard of the running to shed her maiden tag over an extended mile at Hamilton and a 5lb rise might prove to be lenient.

Holloway Boy finished an excellent second in the Summer Mile at Ascot latest and seemingly holds all the aces down in class, but POINT LYNAS gets the nod. Victorious in this contest back in 2024 before finishing last of six when sent off as favourite 12 months ago, he returned to form with a creditable fourth in a warm handicap at York last time and can build on that performance to regain his crown. Cerulean Bay can chase the pair home.

JEZ BOMB was no match for an easy winner over a mile here when attempting to follow up on his earlier course triumph, but with a return to further likely to be of benefit, he can gain compensation. Percy's Daydream struggled at Newmarket but this isn't as competitive and he may bounce back. Don't rule out Pomme Pomme, who has already won three times in the hands of Rose Dawes.

17:00 Pontefract (Class 6) (3YO plus)

Roy Winstanley Memorial Raising Encephalitis Awareness Handicap

It's been a relatively quite spell for the Mick Appleby yard but there have been shoots of a revival of late and the consistent STARSONG looks worth chancing now she runs off a competitive mark. Battenburg Belle, Bullington Bry and My Boy Jack have stronger recent form than the rest and are suggested as the main threats to the selection.

The unexposed Goyard had excuses last time at Ripon and could have a say in proceedings if breaking on terms. The Good Biscuit went up 3lb for scoring at Catterick last time and commands plenty of respect, but the vote goes to IRIS DANCER. Tristan Davidson's mare arrives in terrific form, having won three of her last five starts, and a 2lb rise may not be enough to stop the eight-year-old.
