LORD SCOUNDREL enjoyed a fantastic bumper campaign last season, stepping up on four runner-up finishes to strike at Clonmel, and likely to appreciate the extra half-a-mile on his hurdling debut, he rates the one to beat. Redrobin only found the useful The Herds Garden too good at Fairyhouse on Saturday and he should be in the shake-up again providing this doesn't come too soon, while Pack The Punch adds further spice to the race on his first spin over timber.
Myles Ahead, Lord Scoundrel and Gaius Marius are of similar ability in bumpers, but the first-named shaped very well when third on hurdling debut last month, so looks the one to beat.

This looks all about ORGILGO BAY, who is best treated at these weights and looks as though he will be allowed to dictate from the head of affairs. John McConnell's likeable gelding produced a career best performance when making all in the valuable Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel last month and he will prove hard to peg back if given too much rope again. Shamar could prove second best for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh, with Art Of Payroll taken to beat Taglietelle into third.
Orgilgo Bay is a useful and uncomplicated front runner against 3 strong travellers, and was better than ever for his latest handicap win, so it's easy enough to envisage him making all on these terms. Shamar is feared most.

There wasn't much splitting Gordon Elliott's two runners, Canova and Mustadrik, on the Flat and they both warrant plenty of respect now having their attentions switched to hurdles, while Dai Bando is another interesting Flat recruit for Ross O'Sullivan. It could, however, pay to side with the experience of BATCHELORS WALK. He had Gold Class (fourth), Lone Star (fifth) and Douman (eighth) all behind when runner-up at Gowran and a repeat performance might well be good enough.

IT'S ALL AN ACT has been in cracking form of late and he won with enough in hand at Fairyhouse on Sunday to suggest that he can defy a 6lb penalty. Grade 3-winning hurdler The Job Is Right also has the potential to make up into a smart chaser, while Sizing Solution should run his usual solid race.

Probably not a race to get too involved in financially with none of the runners prolific when it comes to winning, but OLD SUPPORTER looks to have a solid chance. He ran right up to his best when a half-length second at Clonmel last time and a 2lb rise shouldn't be enough to prevent another big run. Love Rory has been placed on his last couple of starts and is likely to be on the premises again, while first-time cheekpieces may help Elegant Statesman bounce back to form.

This wouldn't be the strongest of bumpers, but BON CHIC has displayed a fair amount of ability in four starts to date and she might prove up to the task. Lady In Motion hasn't been the most consistent in five starts thus far but she is good when on a going day and the application of first-time blinkers could help her improve, while The Bach Road could well be worth a second look in the betting market ahead of her debut for a top stable.
Market support for newcomer The Bach Road would have to be taken seriously given her respective connections in what rates a weak mares bumper. However it may pay to side with Bon Chic who ran well in a depper race than this at Navan last time, and has been pretty reliable all starts to date. Lady In Motion also makes the shortlist.
