See And Be Seen is entitled to come on for his reappearance run at Newbury and remains on a fair mark - only 3lb higher than when beating subsequent Cesarewitch winner Big Easy in the Cesarewitch Trial at HQ back in September. However, the one to be on could be LADY KASHAAN, who bolted up by seven lengths on her return to action at Musselburgh and bids to go one better than when second to Ardlui off this mark in the 2013 running of this race. The last named arrives without a prep run this time, though the likes of Norab and Trip To Paris, both of whom step up in trip after scoring on the all-weather recently, could put up plenty of resistance if lasting home.

FIRST BOMBARDMENT has a wide draw to overcome but in this small field it is hoped he can put his racecourse experience to good use, break alertly and tack over to the stands' rail. He sets the form standard on his placed efforts at Doncaster and Musselburgh and represents a yard that does well at this venue. Risk Adjusted is entitled to build on his debut second at Redcar and go close, though a bigger danger may be debutant Sing Something, who is well drawn and represents a yard that can ready a newcomer. Any market support for Richard Fahey's newcomers, Imshi's Little Bro and Lady Argentum, would also be interesting.

Trail Blaze is 11lb lower than when winning this race 12 months ago and should give it his best shot from a low draw, though there are other more convincing alternatives in the line up. The unexposed Westwood Hoe is worth a market check on his handicap debut, but preference is for KING TORUS, who boasts winning C&D form and is entitled to come on for his reappearance run in the Spring Mile. Lawyer shaped with promise on his first run for David Barron at Redcar and steps back up in grade, though he's drawn wider than ideal, a comment also applicable to Maiden Approach, who accounted for the smart Gold Trail two runs ago at Wolverhampton and perhaps found the trip too sharp when competing off tough terms at Lingfield latest.

A chance is taken on FLYMAN on his first outing for David O'Meara. Having won first time up last season. he then struggled to make an impact in top handicap company. He starts out for O'Meara off a workable mark in the first-time visor and, given his good record fresh, this could be the time to catch him. Tatlisu won well on his return at Doncaster and merits serious consideration for the in-form Richard Fahey yard. Last year's winner Fast Shot ought to be thereabouts, while Searchlight and Duke Cosimo make each-way appeal.

Pinzolo was an impressive all-the-way winner on the polytrack at Lingfield and the third and fourth have since franked that form. He looks certain to give a good account on his turf return, but CLEVER COOKIE rates the one to beat. Peter Niven's seven-year-old is a very likeable sort and arguably ended last season with a career best performance when fourth in the Doncaster Cup, despite the 2m2f trip being on the stiff side. Dropping back in distance should play to his strengths and he has won first-time-out in each of the last three years. Angel Gabrial probably wants further than this and is held by Clever Cookie on their Doncaster Cup running, so Fattsota looks a better each-way alternative. He was just a length behind the 112-rated Windshear in a conditions race at Doncaster last time.

All eyes on DECORATED KNIGHT whose debut form is head and shoulders above that of his rivals. Roger Varian's colt shaped with considerable promise behind subsequent Autumn Stakes victor Commemorative at Doncaster in September, and he is bred to come into his own over middle distances this season. A convincing victory will be needed if he is to justify his Derby entry but he could be up to the task. Inshaa wasn't overly enamoured with the soft ground he encountered on his debut and likely has more to offer up in trip. Bletchley Park can make the frame, while Salieris Mass should be monitored in the betting.

An intriguing contest in which cases can be made for the majority of the field. BEAU EILE was steadily progressive last year, going down narrowly at Beverley and York before breaking her duck in good style at Catterick. An opening mark of 75 almost certainly underestimates her ability and she is fancied to make a winning return. Elusive Epona is another who will prove better than her mark, but a lengthy layoff tempers enthusiasm. Flicka's Boy is feared on the back of last weeks Nottingham success, while Canny Kool and Rita's Boy can also make an impact.
