KING BREX has been struggling so far this season but he hinted at a return to form at Kempton last month and it is interesting that he won over fences here on his only previous visit to this venue. He is rated 8lb lower over hurdles than over larger obstacles so he can go close today if putting his best foot forward. L'Homme De Nuit is not the most reliable but he has claims on his best form with Posh Emily and Olympian also respected.
A reproduction of Olympian's latest effort might suffice, but he's not the most reliable and a safer option could be Home, who won on the Flat last month. Posh Emily shouldn't be too far away again.

OUTSIDE THE BOX was in the process of running a big race when taking a tumble at the fourth-last over 2m5f at Kempton last month and, with the drop back to 2m no problem, he can play a leading role in this contest. Vinmix De Bessy has been struggling of late but he would have decent claims if bouncing back to his best form. Owner Occupier has possibilities and Tempting Paradise will appreciate the better ground.
All of these have struggled with their jumping at one time or another and choosing between them isn't straightforward. Marodima has to put a tame recent hurdling run behind him, but he invariably goes well at this venue and is a hopeful choice. Owner Occupier is on a good mark and another to consider with the drying ground in his favour.

COIS FARRAIG could have the legs on his elders here. He won a Grade 2 contest at Newbury less than four months ago and, despite struggling in a couple of Graded prizes since, this represents a significant drop in class. Scots Dragoon won this race last year and may well go in again but Surenaga is most feared after beating the majority of today's line-up over C&D three weeks ago, including Nicky Henderson's gelding.
Probably best not to take the Royal Artillery over C&D last month at face value, with Blu Teen and Knighton Combe expected to fare best this time. They may all have to play second fiddle to Ice Tea on these terms, though.

HENRY HOOK appears to have been rejuvenated by the application of blinkers (worn again today) and, despite being burdened with a 7lb penalty for his comfortable success over an extended 3m at Taunton recently, he looks the one to beat. Sinbad The Sailor commands respect after his cosy win at Ludlow last time but that form hasn't worked out too well, while Havingotascoobydo overcame greenness to strike on his handicap debut at the Shropshire venue latest and there should be a lot more to come.
Recent Taunton winner Henry Hook is respected but there are some interesting, less exposed contenders in opposition, notably Havingotascoobydo, who did the job well at Ludlow last week and is fancied to follow up under a penalty. Educated Evans and Legion d'Honneur are also feared.

This can go the way of TURKO, third in the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in 2008. He returned from nearly two years off the track to finish a close second over 3m at Leicester in a similar contest to this and, although he may not be the force of old, he should be too good for these rivals. Mister Apple's also returned from a long break to finish second at Doncaster and could pose a real threat, while Macs Lad and last-time winner I Hear Thunder are not without chances.
Turko showed he still had a race of this nature left in him when runner-up at Leicester last month and should make his presence felt again. However, Mister Apple's was every bit as good on his belated return at Doncaster and could prove a better option. Ultimate Limit, I Hear Thunder and Honour's Dream all add spice to the mix and have to be considered also.

Unplaced in both NH starts. Well beaten at 33-1 behind Cheltenian when 12th of 16 on his latest outing in a maiden NH flat race at Kempton over 2m (good to soft) last month.
In a wide-open contest, slight preference is for REBEL REBELLION. He was a disappointing beaten favourite at Aintree after a summer break last year, weakening quickly from three out, but showed the benefit of the run when romping home over 2m5f at Kempton last month. Our Mick won a Hereford maiden in some style last month and must be considered here despite stepping up in class, while French import Taoiri scored over 2m2f at Pau last December and could go well on his UK debut.
Taoiri's defeat of Molotof, who ran a blinder in the Adonis on his first start for Nicky Henderson last month, looks the key piece of form here and Alan King's new recruit could have enough improvement in him back over hurdles to see off Rebel Rebellion.
