Beauchamp Viking made a pleasing reappearance at Taunton last month and is respected on that form but the ground has turned against him. KAP WEST won at Hereford last month and that form has been franked by the runner-up Blue Hills winning twice since so he is fancied to defy a 7lb rise. Devils River has each-way claims and Todareistodo should not be overlooked off a lowly mark on his chasing debut.

NATIVE BEAUTY was in the process of running a nice race in a Listed event at Newbury last month before coming down three out and this looks like a decent opening for her. W Six Times shaped nicely on her debut in a Fakenham bumper earlier this month and she is worthy of consideration on her hurdles bow. McKyla has shown some ability in bumpers and she has place prospects along with Egretta Island.

Chapel House has progressed in leaps and bounds this year and after three wins in his last four, he must be respected. The handicapper has taken note of his progress, however, so slight preference is for UPTHEMSTEPS. He performed with credit when runner-up over 2m4f at Chepstow last time and the application of blinkers could spark a little improvement. Ballyoliver, Brixen and recent Newton Abbot winner Referent also make the shortlist.

Sendinpost has been knocking on the door over a variety of trips and she might prefer a stiffer test than this ideally so a chance is taken on ORANG OUTAN. He has not been at his best in two starts this season but is now just 3lb higher than when winning over this C&D last year and he takes a drop in class today. Glan Lady could also be in the shake-up while Around A Pound should not be left out of calculations.

Bellosguardo and Montauk Highway both come into this on the back of decent efforts in Hunters' Chases last time and they command respect but it might be best to focus on the two that bring recent winning point-to-point form to the table, Bleuvito and IT WAS ME. Nicholas Wright's seven-year-old has a good record between the flags and has some scope for improvement so he could prove a good deal better than these rivals.

SEEBRIGHT could not live with Puffin Billy on his debut at Fontwell but he still shaped encouragingly and is entitled to improve for the experience so he can give a good account here. Follow The Facts was bitterly disappointing on debut here but much better was expected on that occasion and he could fare better this time. Magic Moon and Jack The Cracker are interesting debutants as they both represent stables capable of readying a newcomer to strike.
