Ahraam sets the standard following two respectable efforts to date over hurdles and that experience could prove to be vital. Although, the preference is for TYRELL, who was a winner over 1m3f and 2m on the Flat and he represents a yard who do well in this sphere. Castafiore also showed ability on the level and she is another who has to be respected.

Silvergrove would be the class in act in this field but this useful staying chaser may be using this contest as a prep for something later in the season. PREDICT A RIOT was an impressive winner of an Irish point-to-point earlier in the year and his new connections had to part with 50,000 pounds to secure the son of Flemensfirth after that victory. Linguine should run his usual solid race but the six-year-old appears to be vulnerable once again, while Forever My Friend is another to note.

BLUE HERON may have been beaten at odds of 1/2 last time out but that was a pleasing enough comeback run after 18 months off the track. If he takes a step forward he should prove to be very hard to beat. Pinkie Brown was an impressive winner at Towcester prior to his fall at Cheltenham last time and would be the most likely beneficiary if the selection were to disappoint. Bantam was a useful novice hurdler in the mares division last season but this looks to be a big ask on her chasing debut.

Nigel Twiston-Davies has made his usual fast start to the season and WINNING TICKET has to be considered on stable debut for the experienced handler. The five-year-old could find some improvement having left Paul Morgan's yard and a mark of 110 looks reasonable. Nice Thoughts tries out a new headgear combination for team Pipe and has to enter calculations, while Courtlands Prince had a progressive time of things over the spring and looked in good form at Wincanton on his reappearance.

BROWNVILLE made a promising seasonal reappearance when fourth in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham's Showcase Meeting last month and there is every chance he will improve for that first start since June. 1lb lower and with a lot less on his plate, he looks sure to mount a bold bid. Achimota has been given plenty of time to recover from his Haydock fall in March and rates the biggest threat, leaving Three Of A Kind and Vikekhal to fight out third.

BALLYDAGUE LADY returned to action with a comfortable victory at Worcester last month and, entitled to improve for that first start since March, she gets the vote to defy a 6lb rise. Kitchapoly is just 1lb higher than when runner-up at the same venue and should give another good account providing this extra half a mile doesn't stretch his stamina too far, while Butlergrove King, off since disappointing in July, can beat Chankillo to third spot.

CORRIE LOCH is certainly bred to have plenty of ability, being a half-sister to smart performers Generous Ransom and Imperial Presence, and she could have what it takes to make a winning debut under Rules. The Wicket Chicken also makes plenty of appeal on her NH debut having readily won a point-to-point contest in May, while Katy P has experience on her side and should give a good account on her first start for Philip Hobbs (formerly trained by Jessica Harrington).
