MAGNESIUM has been knocking on the door of late and can break his duck here on his first start in handicap company. The ex-Willie Mullins-trained Spiritual Society was not disgraced on his debut for Michael Scudamore in a Class 3 event at Cheltenham last time and can give the selection most to do, while Kayceecee is going the right way and should be in the shake-up with Richard Johnson in the saddle.
THE LOCAL scored in good style over hurdles at Wincanton last time, and with Charlie Egerton's horses in good form right now, there is every chance he can follow-up today on his chasing debut. Madison Du Berlais, a winner over fences in France, unseated his rider on his first start for Martin Pipe, but can go well here if his confidence has not been dented, while Feel The Pride could figure if returning to the form he showed when winning at Doncaster on her penultimate start.
BE BE KING beat Miko De Beauchene by a fairly comfortable 5 lengths when completing a double over hurdles at Chepstow last time, and the runner-up seems to have little chance of turning the tables today on 2lb worse terms. The ex-Sir Mark Prescott-trained Circassian, who got off the mark over hurdles with a convincing victory at Haydock last month, looks to be the biggest danger, while the useful Oscar Park should appreciate this slight step back up in trip.
VALLEY RIDE deservedly got his head back in front when scoring in good style at Bangor last month. Colin Tinkler's charge had been unlucky when swerving and unseating his rider on the run-in at Stratford in October, and the step-up in trip last time seemed to suit. Nine De Sivola, who has won every time P J McDonald has been in the saddle, is in great form and looks a big danger, while Mikado looks sure to improve with this stiffer test of stamina and could be the best of the J P McManus-owned quartet.

JOAACI is being talked about as a possible Gold Cup horse and will need to run well here if he is to live up to those aspirations. He is a lightly-raced individual, who will appreciate both ground and trip, and should take all the beating. The hat-trick seeking Dead-Eyed Dick loves a test of stamina and will not go down without a fight, while Eurotrek won with any amount in hand last time but has been raised 13lb for that success.
IRIS'S GIFT needs to improve his jumping if he is to be top-class over fences as he was over hurdles, but the ex-Stayers' Hurdle champion should hold too many aces here, and can get back to winning ways. Rebel Rhythm deservedly got off the mark over the bigger obstacles when winning a soft race at Wetherby last time and should chase the selection home, while Halcon Genelardais has been running well over hurdles and is one to watch on his chasing debut.
ROUND THE HORN was mightily impressive when scoring over C&D on similar ground last January and Jim Old's charge is taken to defy a lengthy absence and follow-up today. Roll Along has also looked a decent prospect in winning both his bumpers and will not give up his 100 per cent record easily, while Spartacus Bay and Marshalls Run can fight it out for the minor honours.
