Plenty in with chances here but it could pay to stick with MASTER OF SONG, a comfortable 1m4f winner at Southwell last time out. He's up a massive 12lb for that success but scored with plenty to spare and seems to have improved for stepping up in trip. Irish raider The Fox Tully has shown a liking for the all-weather and is clearly improving. He could prove the biggest threat but chances might also be given to Artisan and Archie Rice on the pick of their form.

In a wide-open affair, it could pay to side with SPINNING RIDGE. A handicap winner at Kempton last month, she followed up with a near-miss under a 6lb penalty over this C&D. With less on his his plate here, this all-weather specialist should take all the beating. Opus Maximus landed a couple of claimers recently and went down by a head over C&D last month. He looks a real threat to the selection but the likes of Ajdaad, Saharia and Needwood Ridge know their way to the winner's enclosure and can't be ruled out.

In another trappy contest, the profitable choice may be FAMUSA. A prolific scorer in Italy, where she also finished second in a Listed race, she was a close sixth in that same grade at Doncaster on her UK debut last month. She has less on her plate here and, providing she handles the switch to an artificial surface, could prove too good for these rivals. Ocean Bay, highly-tried on turf, landed a Kempton maiden on his all-weather debut but needs to raise his game here, while Blue Moon recorded an all-weather double in October but is also up in class.

Perennial bridesmaid Blanc De Chine did little to improve her reputation when registering another near miss at Lingfield last month and Peter Makin's charge looks worth taking on with Marco Botti's newcomer, LIKE THE NIGHT, whose dam injects plenty of speed into her pedigree. The selection wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to open her account at the first time of asking with David Brown's Regal Lady, who sports a first-time visor, appearing one of the principal threats.

Michael Bell reaches for blinkers for the first time to desperately try eke improvement out of Azurinta, third over the extended 1m1f in a classified stakes contest last month. This longer trip also promises to suit, but of more interest is CADGERS BRIG, representing the potent Keith Dalgleish-Joe Fanning combination, who disappointed on soft ground at Catterick when last sighted but had previously run creditably over C&D. The Drunken Dr drops back in trip having scored over 1m6f off 5lb lower in October but is also worthy of consideration.

Top-rated on official figures, Bull Five is respected in a moderate looking maiden, however, Nick Littmoden's charge returns from a lengthy absence and preference is for DOUBLE TROUBLE, who has the benefit of a recent run over the first-named. The selection followed up a runner-up effort over the extended mile here when again rattling the crossbar over C&D latest and looks to one to beat. First-time blinkers could elicit improvement from Lucky Dime, who has rarely looked like breaking her maiden in five previous outings.

There may be better to come from Tim Easterby's Maven, who flopped on her handicap bow at Redcar latest but is unexposed on polytrack and may improve for this step up in trip. Baby Driver races off the same mark as when fourth over C&D last month and has place prospects, along with Polar Auroras, eased 1lb for finishing fourth over 1m at Kempton latest. Nevertheless, it might be worth taking a chance on JOYOUSLY, who is having her first start for Richard Guest on her return from a long absence. A market check is therefore advisable but she has slipped to a good mark.
