Chookie Hamilton bounced back to form when returning to this venue just over a week ago and is a lively contender again, but BUTE STREET has been freshened up by a near six-month holiday and was in excellent heart on turf during the summer. Fair jumpers Candelita and Sainglend have to enter the equation, as does Sedgwick, who returned to form when upped to 1m4f at Lingfield.

NOVABRIDGE couldn't quite supplement his shock Ffos Las victory when sent back there a week later, but that third placing at least proved he is holding some form and he is 1lb lower returning to the all-weather. A revival in Passionada's fortunes coincided with her first try at an artificial surface here and she has every chance of building on that second. Greenhead High is on a workable mark and must enter the equation, a remark that also applies to Ivestar.

Angelo Poliziano deservedly got his head in front when switched back to the Polytrack here, but he is 4lb higher for it and may not get to grips with GRIFFIN POINT. William Muir's mare has been a model of consistency on turf from midsummer onwards and has scored over this C&D in the past. Under Par is becoming costly to follow but will have her supporters again, despite running from out of the handicap.

DIVINE ANGEL gained a boost to her confidence when picking up a Southwell seller - with Cerys and Rakticate third and fourth respectively - and she should be able to confirm her superiority on this different surface. Refuse To Mambo hasn't shown a great deal in three maiden appearances but is worth a thought in this grade, as is the battle-hardened Lucy Bee.

ITALIAN RIVIERA had to show plenty of resolution to complete a quickfire hat-trick over this course and distance recently but he remains open to any amount of improvement over staying trips and can defy a 6lb rise. Thecornishcockney was behind Italian Riviera's stablemate Mutual Regard twice before finally breaking through at this venue, although a 5lb higher mark may thwart any hopes of a follow-up. Tartan Jura gave his all but still faded into fourth here last time, while Ctappers also stays all day, although he is yet to triumph on the all-weather.

Corton Lad reappears just five days after finishing second when favourite for a nursery over this course and distance and, off the same rating again, he might be vulnerable to something less exposed. Classy Trick and Mr Vendman should improve for the step up in trip, but the nod goes to LYRIC BALLAD, who has improved with each race so far and an initial figure of 65 is eyecatching. Caramel Sundae produced her best effort to take third at Yarmouth and has place claims again.

A first mark of 60 isn't bad at all for SUBTLE DIFFERENCE, who hasn't found much when the pressure been applied the last twice so should relish this drop in distance. A 3lb drop may be a slight overreaction to Red Dragon's sixth over this C&D because he wasn't beaten all that far. Faffa steps into handicap company on the back of a career-best fourth at Southwell, and Bubbly Bailey is another newcomer to nurseries with genuine claims of troubling the judge.

EBBLE capped her improvement in maidens with a workmanlike success at this circuit. She needed every yard of the 6f to get on top that day so this extra furlong should help spark further improvement and she can make her handicap debut a winning one. Balti's Sister boosted her decent strike-rate when registering a comprehensive victory over course and distance and shouldn't be far away again. Dubious Escapade went close at Doncaster last time but didn't fire on her only previous try at this surface.
